“My son and I just had a wonderful dinner and experience at Somo - a contemporary style sushi restaurant in Providence that is packed with warmth, freshness, and flavor. We were tempted to sit outdoors at one of the nice streetside tables but opted instead to sit inside at a cozy corner table. Moments after being seated, we were greeted by Nino, the restaurant owner, who was incredibly warm and friendly. During our conversation, Nino mentioned that he had trained and worked in Japan for 12 years before opening Somo. Nino's authentic Japanese experience was evident in the amazing flavors and creative presentation of the dishes. We planned to take some food home but..... the food was just too good. If you haven't experienced Somo yet, then I urge you to try it. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy! Richelle D.“

“5 star service, 5 star food. Great balance of checking on you frequently and not being over bearing. Staff seem legitimately happy to be here.If I was really trying to be nit picky maybe I’d complain about the portion size of the lobster roll. But it was very delicious. Would honestly order it again.I enjoyed everything I ordered. Raw bar is up there quality wise with the best I’ve ever had. I’ll be back.“

“Had my birthday dinner at Ten Prime Steak & Sushi, not enough words to describe the wonderful experience. The food and service was beyond excellent, this was the first meal in so long that I could rave about every single thing we tried. The environment is very inviting and friendly. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to have a fun night and excellent meal.“

“I made reservations for 7 PM on a Friday night for the Omakese (I leave it up to you the chef) Experience. We were brought to the sushi table where there were 8 seats set up around the chef. Our chef's station was a total party of seven who reserved the Omakese experience for the night. Most of the chef's choices were imported from Japan and some were from Hawaii. 1st - the squid, which was very tasty, popped in your mouth when you ate it. 2nd - Monkfish liver pate. I was a little scared at first, not going to lie, but it was great. 3rd - amazing piece of tuna with some truffle on top. Amazing! 2nd favorite 4th - Mackerel, which is usually fishy tasting, but wasn't with the garnish. 5th - Charred Japanese diver scallop. Amazing! 6th - Shrimp...delicious! 7th - Yellowfin Tuna...Very good! 8th - Charred Salmon Belly...the absolute best (melted in your mouth). 9th - Japanese Red Snapper...Very good! Touch of citrus. 10th - Uni (my least favorite) texture and flavor wasn't for me. 11th - Kobe beef with Uni....Fantastic!!!.. the Uni was fine with this pairing. 12th- Tuna with gold and caviar, tie for 3rd favorite 13th - Smoked Salmon (smoked from a cocktail smoker) Amazing! 3rd favorite. 14th - a hand wrap...very good 15th - Homemade Miso soup with clams 16th- Cheese cake, imported from Japan! Definitely worth the $100 per person for the experience...can't wait to go again!“

“I get it, you’re apprehensive because it’s a sushi place in the Walmart plaza. But fear not. This is the best sushi place in RI, tbh. It’s always fresh and the people who run this place are really nice. I will always order take out from here. Give it a shot, you’ll never go anywhere else. Delicious.“

“Bon is always on point. Great hibachi and sushi. I think they have some of the best crab rangoon around. The gyoza is also excellent. The sushi is always very fresh. The hibachi chefs always put on an amazing show. Highly recommend for any event or just a casual night out. I also frequently get take out and it is always packaged perfectly and just as delicious as when dining in.“

“Uncle Sushi is a family owned restaurant. It's all take out (no dining in the restaurant). The sushi is very good and the fish is fresh and delicious. Based on my observations it seemed very clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating. It has become one of my regular sushi spots!“

“We had reservations at 1:45. We were 10 minutes early and got sat right away. Waiter was pleasant. But it took awhile to take our order and give us the bill when we were clearly done with our food. We had Bruins tickets for 3:05 and unfortunately were late to the game. We didn't get any appetizers or dessert. And it was very busy in the restaurant. It was disappointing because we chose a restaurant in the city so we could be there on time.“

“Loving the new menu! Food is so fresh and the new renovation is superb! Price is fair and the the food is absolutely delicious !! But please be aware DO NOT get the Vietnamese noodle soup!! Now for pho lovers you know what the real noodle soup consist of! This is just not it trust me! The soup is like package ramen noodle soup with very thin noodles and beef that were meant for stir frying coated with corn starch! Real pho and real noodle soup consist of fresh 8 hour simmered broth and fresh bone and meat. They shouldn't even try to offer that leave it alone or serve Chinese noodles soup and not Vietnamese. However everything else is a 10!“

“The food was soooo good! And the waitress was really nice and answered any questions we had. The hibachi chef was really fun and entertaining so we had a really great time. Service was a bit slow, so I don’t recommend coming here if you’re in a hurry. The food is amazing and not too expensive. The cocktails were soooooo good!!! We went on a Saturday night around 7:45 and the restaurant was pretty empty so we felt a little strange being there alone. It was a bit shocking that the restaurant would be so dead on a Saturday night. But other than no one there and the long wait it was amazing so we are definitely going back.“

“I went with my brothers on a packed Saturday night. Service was great and the sushi was phenomenal (we chose dining over hibachi). We split a sushi for 3 and everything on it was beautifully arranged and tasted super fresh. Can't wait to visit again!“

“It's Mall food, so you're expectations can't really be that high. But surprisingly, I like the Sushi here. I have tried tempura shrimp rolls in the past which were delicious for a great price and recently had some simple avocado roll. What can I say, the avocado was nice and fresh which is the most I can ask for. Fast service, friendly, relatively low prices and good food. Only complaint is that they should clean the seating area a little more often.“

“I got the veggie stone pot bibimbap, which came with a cup of miso soup. A nice, healthy dinner! I liked the atmosphere - lots of wood and pretty lamps. The service was inattentive, unfriendly, and minimal, but the food came out okay and without a long wait.“

“This is my go-to Chinese takeout place in Providence. The food is fresh and delicious and my order is always ready in about 15 minutes. They give you a ton of food so I get 2 or 3 meals out of it. I’ve never eaten inside so I can’t speak for that though. I highly recommend the scallion pancakes and orange chicken.“

“Found this little hidden gem on our way out of Prov on a Sunday afternoon.Ordered: Yoo Roll (45), Volcano Roll (13), & Rainbow Roll (11) also the Thai Ice TeaThe sushi was SO delicious and fresh and the presentation was beautiful. Tea was also good.Atmosphere is so simple & quiet, a relaxing place to wait for your sushi.I can see this place is busy with online/phone orders and door dash, the inside service was a bit slow, (hence the 4 stars) but once we got that delicious platter we forgot about the wait. It was worth the wait“

“I’ve been impressed with Yamato ever since d they opened nearly a decade ago. They’ve been standing on business in that little Smithfield plaza for a long time now, them and D’Angelos. And there’s a reason: Because they’re good. They’re really freaking good. Was never a sushi fan until I started ordering it from Yamato. Now I’m always on the fence between sushi or a hibachi dinner. But it doesn’t matter because they always deliver. Because they’re really freaking good! ? ??“
