“This spot had been on my bucket list since opening ( reopening? ) last year, and I was excited to see its inclusion in the RI Food Fights sandwich battle - an excuse to finally visit! We stopped by on a rainy Saturday evening. While the spot has several small tables and a great little outside deck where you can enjoy your meal, we chose to take ours to go, toting the order to the nearby Whalers Brewing. Perfect! With its proximity to the bike path, I can definitely see making lunch stops here to enjoy that deck while out for rides. We were immediately greeted by the SUPER friendly crew. They were wonderfully helpful! Looking for warm comfort food, we ordered chicken parm & meatball subs & fries. Seeing fried calzones, we couldn't resist getting a buffalo chicken for later, too. Off to the brewery, everything was still piping hot after grabbing a table & beer. And, SO delicious! My Italian DH is a meatball aficionado, and very few live up to his mother's legendary dish. He absolutely raved about these - loved them! The chicken parm was perfect as well, and both were on fabulous bread. The sandwiches were huge! Half of each were packed up for later. The calzone went home, too. A quick air fryer reheat the next day worked perfectly, and the calzone was fresh as new. With ample, tasty fillings, it was enough for two with a salad. Perhaps a bit bready around the edges, a bit of redistributing fixed that right up. We are looking forward to returning for a bike ride lunch stop & we already have an order planned for an easy take-out dinner as well.“
“This is by far the BEST pie in South Kingstown. Hands down. 9.1 on the Portony scale if I could speak in those terms. Best toppings, zero flop, amazing service. I will not order my Sunday pie anywhere else ever again. These guys have something great going check them out!“
“I've lived around the corner from here for a couple years now, but have never stopped in until recently. Ordered a chicken parm calzone and it tasted as good as the calzones from my old favorite pizza place (Pier Pizza CO, which has sadly gone out of business), and I mean that as a very good thing! . The price was great too -- for ≈$16 (before tax + tip), I got two meals out of it.I read some negative reviews that didn't match my experience, so I wanted to leave a positive review to help balance it out.“
“Completely charming small artisan bakery offering a good number of gluten free options along with traditional cakes, pastries, and breads. We stopped in to sample some cupcakes, they were boldly flavored and had delicious buttery cake with luscious stiff frosting piped on top. Even the black coffee we got was delicious! I think we'll be stopping here on every visit to Narragansett.“
“We have added Frankie's to our regular Friday night dinner rotation. The food and the service have been outstanding on every visit. Last night I had an Open Table reservation for a high-top and when we walked in the couple in front of us said they had "called" the previous evening to reserve a high-top. It was pretty obvious, there was only 1 high top available and they had not "called". At first, the staff asked if we wanted a regular table, we declined because we liked the bar area better. In a GREAT customer service move, they immediately honored our hightop reservation and had to put our party of 2 at a 6 top, at the expense of a larger party that may come in. On top of all of this, our server was very friendly, understanding, and attentive. Needless to say, this was one of the best handling of a table "mix-up" we have seen and we greatly appreciated it. Thank you again for a FANTASTIC evening!“
“Great take out - so easy and really superb. Especially love the Chicken Francaise and Chicken Parmesan. The loaves of bread at the counter are outstanding and perfect sized for dinner. Last visit we saw thick pizza in squares and asked about it - Detroit Pizza we were told, so we added a piece to our order. A quick microwave heating when we got home and we were so surprised. Excellent!!! We will never switch from New York/New Haven style pizza but this makes an excellent lunch with salad or an appetizer. One piece was good for 2 of us. The piece we ordered was covered with pepperoni and sausage - delicious !!!And added to the ease of a quick dinner, 25 minutes in the oven and add a side salad and you have some of the best tasting chicken anywhere at a fantastic price. Portions are great too - 4 nice chicken cutlets and enough sauce- especially with the Francais- smooth and lemony. The new owners have added more variety and I feel have improved the products. Great staff too.“
“Went Saturday night for dinner and drinks (3/2/24). We sat at the bar in the separate bar area. The bar area is modern, cozy, very clean and has good seating space at the bar and with tables around the bar. The place was very busy. Our bartender was Christian. He was very pleasant, welcoming, very efficient with a packed room and very professional. The food was awesome. We have the Italians Pizza and tortellini carbonara which were both awesome! We also had hot & dirty martinis and expresso martinis and Christian rocked them both, one of the best for both martinis have ever had. Would definitely go back when in the area!!!!“
“Went to a Birthday party last night in their function room. It was a buffet and everything was delicious. We had salad, pasta, beef tenderloin and salmon with veggies. Everything was perfectly prepared, staff was very polite and accommodating. Thank you all, we will be back.“
“International zone is a college pizza place. Don't expect top notch pizza. I will review it for the food you get. Not what you don't. I will start off by saying I grew up in the New London, CT area so I know Greek style pizza. The pizza here is more of a Greek style than itilian. I liked the pizza but it is not for everyone. Bottom Line: I Recommend“
“Great bar setup with tons of TVs. Excellent service with a sound choice of beers. The owner is around and very down to earth and approachable. Highly recommend the calzone but there's plenty of great menu options around. Pop in and support this great spot ?“
“Good gelato. Open till 11pm. Only place around. Parking is confusing but spaces are available. Six chairs to sit outside face parking lot. $7 two scoops of gelato. Waffle bowl $1.25. $8.25 for two scoops and waffle bowl. Scoops were good size. Fast service. Young friendly staff. Pistachio light flavor. Cannoli flavor initially good light also. Nutella flavor a must. Espresso more maple than espresso. Should be stronger.“
“This is a wonderful local neighborhood restaurant. The food is well prepared and the owner is very attentive. There is a nice cozy feel to the place and it's located in a beautiful seaport village. The menu may be somewhat limited compared to the big places but what they do offer is done well. If you want a nice quite romantic evening out Tate's is the place to go. You won't be disappointed.Dr. D.“
“This is the only place I will buy fresh dough to make my dad's recipe for white pizza. It is always so fresh and rises to the height that I need to make this special pizza. I have also bought their bread, pizza, Spinach pies, egg biscuits, pastry, and have never been disappointed. Their chicken salad is awesome too!“
“Overall, I love this place. It's just a bit too noisy for my sensitive ears. Great menu, with excellent selections. My “French Tini” cocktail was wonderful! The only issue with the food was that, across the board, too much sauce on each dish! Excessive amounts of salad dressing, pesto sauce and even too much blue cheese. In this case, all was delicious, just over sauced. Less is sometimes better. If the quality of cooking and ingredients is there (which it definitely was), moderate quantities allow the flavors to shine. Ps, don't skip the excellent rolls and fresh butter that are brought to the table...skip the carbs some other time because Plum Point bakes THE best rolls!!!“
“Food was fantastic, and a very welcoming atmosphere. No free refills on soda (unless our waitress, who was great, just accidentally put it in wrong) which I found a bit strange, especially for the glasses which are very small and filled mostly with ice. Overall great experience, good chunks of lobster in the mac and cheese which is rare. Will be back“
