“Baja’s is my favorite place to go when I’m looking for a fresh Mexican bowl! They have a drive-thru for pickup if you order online, or you can go inside and enjoy your bowl with a nice cerveza.

There are around 20 locations throughout RI, MA, and CT. I 100% would recommend.

We expected the same great Fiesta food as the other locations but were pleasantly surprised to find that this location had some differences - such as margarita flights, tequila flights! The staff was extremely knowledgeable about the tequila options. Shoutout to our awesome server Kay and the bartender Adrian who helped us pick out our tequila favs! The atmosphere is also really great - gorgeous bar and ambiance. Kat was awesome!“

“Cheryl and I dined with friends last night at Casa Azul Taqueria at 840 Allens Avenue in Providence. Although the place is small, with just three tables and primarily offering takeout, the food is fantastic, featuring great vegan options. We're definitely going back!“

“My good friends live near this great restaurant. They treated me to the best Mexican dinner here. I ordered the usual combination plate, without the rice. Excellent presentation and the flavor profile as well as the cuisine was cooked to perfection. Excellent service along with a remarkably wide variety of menu choices. We lived in Southern Arizona for 17 years. The Fiesta restaurant in Somerset serves meals equal the the best of the very best in South Tucson. I plan to visit my friends again this Fall. Supper at the Fiesta is absolutely at the top of my list. RATING: 5 ****/5“

If you can't get the ribs, I HIGHLY recommend the burgers. I know what you are thinking, but this is not just Mexican food. Nacho Mamas has THE best burgers anywhere.“

“I enjoy the different vegan and plant-based option at Plant City. There is the option to eat more casual downstairs, there is nice outdoor seating overlooking the river and bridge, and the upstairs Sezn offers fine dining. I tried Sezn for the first time and enjoyed the sweet potato gnocchi, eggplant lasagna and matcha strawberry shortcake. It was a beautiful atmosphere with very attentive staff. The food was exceptional.“

“Any bajas I go to are usually clean employees are nice, you get to pick what ever u want I usually get a rice bowl with pinto beans, buffalo chicken , corn, lettuce and cheese and its worth it very filling and inexpensive i usually spend $11 for just me“

“Our second stop on our Saturday Taco crawl took us to Maiz, the Wayland Square location.The shop was decked out for the Halloween season. Inside the place reminds you of a Mexican cantina. Brightly colored flags adorning the ceiling contrasted the sand colored wall.

Our server was very nice, letting us know what our options were for the fight. I chose to upgrade mine to pastor tacos as they are my favorite type. My friends got a Birria taco, a shrimp taco and the carnitas taco.

It didn't take long before our food arrived. Fresh and hot, we quickly dived in. The pastor was flavorful, a slight char taste that made the whole thing sing a symphony for my taste buds. The shrimp taco was particularly good as well. The shrimp was succulent and the addition of the pineapple took it to the next level. The Birria meat was tender and juicy. The carnitas was a solid choice as well. Their homemade hot sauce, mild or spicy, on the side. All washed down with ice cold Mexican coke.

Another taco spot in the books as a place to return. We only live 9 minutes away so it's a sure thing for us!“

“Another day, another chance for more tacos with the RI Food Fight's TacoMania. This time we started with Diego's. As it was a Saturday, no tables were available from reservations but we were able to grab a seat at the bar. The space is open, dark. A blend of Mexican homage and industrial brick. An open kitchen gives you the chance to watch your meal be prepared in full view. Our bartender, Greer was super friendly and balanced attentiveness. She is detail oriented and was very accommodating. She quickly took care of our drinks and got our food order in ASAP. They offered a limited menu for TacoMania and I chose the carne option. It came out in a crunchy blue corn tortilla. After a squeeze of lime, I dug in. The crunch was everything you wanted it to be and more. The beef with queso fundido made this a slight messy but overall delicious taco. We got the cornbread souffle to share and it was outstanding. The souffle itself was savory and very corn forward, as opposed to the sweeter cornbread you see in the south. They add a touch of something sweet to balance it out. My friend had the shrimp chimichirri tacos and they said they were a 10/10. So glad to find another tasty spot in the TacoMania trail!“

“Clean and efficient and great group of guys! Talk about in and out during taco Tuesday at dinner time. Pans clean, no drip marks or dirty utensils or counters. “One of the best dining experiences in recent memory. Beautifully designed restaurant near the pedestrian bridge on the Downcity side of PVD. We were sat in an enveloping 2-person, hi-top booth. Across was a stunning but non-busy bar. Waitstaff were attentive and polite. And the food! Winter kale salad was outstanding: kale was soft, dressing was zesty and yet understated, with flecks of pomegranate seeds, goat cheese, and pistachio nuts. We didn't drink but the descriptions of the drinks looked fantastic. Next time. Now for the tacos. My dinner companion got one fish taco and one duck taco. I had one fish and one queso carne. Make no mistake, these are designer tacos. Small in size but piled high with multiple toppings, these explode with incandescent and flavors and textures. And very reasonably priced. I can't wait to return.“

“It’s a good easy spot downtown for chipotle-style burritos.
I mean you literally like make it yourself so if you don’t like it, that’s on you lol.
It’s located in the Arcade building (a cute old mall) so there is minimal parking etc
Only open at lunch time so they are closed by 4pm“

“LOVE this place. I had a serious birria taco craving and Viva La Birria for sure satisfied that. We ordered ahead and not only was the food piping hot and fresh, it was tasteful, and the staff was so friendly. While she got my items together she was complimenting my lashes and made me feel so pretty! As someone who is shy going into places, this really boosted my mood and had me smiling the rest of the night. We’ve been back plenty of times and won’t go anywhere else for birria tacos!! My husband got the Birria quesadillas and loved them too. I recommend them to everyone!“

Poco Loco Tacos has it all: an unpretentious menu containing all the standard issue Mexican favs and some creative ones, low, low prices, a chill counter guy, and a rustic vibe. I took a chance on a basic beef taco and was not disappointed. DELICIOUS flavor, and slightly hot like I like it. If you go, you'll find indoor seating and on-street parking. Recommended.“

“OMG! Why have I not come sooner! I got the burrito bowl with the tofu option, surprisingly good! Everything was fresh! The inside was very clean. The lady serving me was very nice and helpful! I very much appreciate that the serving bowl was made out of cardboard, hopefully recycled materials. Overall, definitely coming back!“

“Local RI chain that serves great Mexican fast food.

My colleagues from Providence have been telling me to try Baja’s for months. According to them, it’s basically an upgraded Chipotle with a much bigger menu. Drove down for a late-night meal, and since this location by Brown is the only one open past midnight, it was still pretty busy even on a Sunday.

The first thing that caught my eye was the chimichangas. I haven’t had one since my college days, so I had to get it. Not as fat or indulgent as the one I used to get in NC, but the protein options here were much better. They go lighter on the rice and beans by default, so it didn’t hit the same level of comfort-food fullness.

Also grabbed a steak burrito bowl, and that was exactly what my colleagues meant. Fresh toppings, good sauces, and most importantly, steak that’s freshly grilled. Not the dry pre-made stuff you get at most chains.
