Went for the first time last Thursday. Hubby had the salmon which was cooked perfectly and tasted great. I had the surf and turf and the very best part was the steak, cooked and seasoned perfectly too. Nice wine and beer selection and topped it off with the chocolate desert. Great first time and though we live in Elgin, and don't normally care to go to Columbiana area for dinner due to traffic, this was well worth the drive and we will be back! Also, great service!

Probably the best I have been to in a long time. Atmosphere very fancy, latin music, brand spanking new!!! Service was awesome. Amazing cocktails, food was delicious. Scarlet our waitress was super nice and Wilson told us very interesting things about the restaurant.

Casa Mezcal is a new restaurant in Columbia, SC, offering contemporary Mexican cuisine. Service is exceptional and the staff is respectful, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure guests have a wonderful evening. The food is delicious and full of authentic Mexican flavor. The Ribeye is prepared perfectly with a flame char and kept medium. The specialty meats have an incredible smoky, earthy flavor from mezcal. Start with the tuna or salmon tiradito, or the ceviche, paired with a beer or white wine. Amazing cocktails are also available. The restaurant delivers the same quality and attention to detail found at top contemporary Mexican restaurants in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, or Puebla. It is a big step up from the Tex-Mex and basic Mexican fare most places in Columbia offer. This hidden gem deserves respect and is highly recommended for those who want to explore real contemporary Mexican cuisine.
