“Had not been in a long while, and made the decision to revisit.Wow, we were impressed!The renovations are nice! It gives the place a much more upscale look. So clean and bright.The food actually tasted so incredibly fresh!The only thing that prevented a complete 5-star review was the service: little things that could be improved upon were so very disheartening. It's as though they are lacking for a coach or manager that could get them functioning as a team with a bit more joy. That's it, the wait staff as a whole seemed a little too distant and robotic.We will return... because... well, the food!!“
“This place is great. The food is good, the service is awesome but it does have one major issue. I Have never eaten at a place that blacks out the prices on their menu! I have been there many times and the last three times, the prices are blacked out. Yes-they have gone up considerably. I get it if they JUST changed the prices but this has been quite a while. For someone on a budget, this is an issue.“
“El Amanecer is the best Mexican food we’ve had in Irmo, Columbia and Lexington. We are from Arizona so the bar is high. This is not your typical Tex Mex found on the west coast. It’s also not your typical bland, drenched in cheese sauce you find here in the Irmo, Columbia, and Lexington areas. This is flavorful, made from scratch with great pride. You can taste the love. I had the carne asada plate, the steak was SO FLAVORFUL, the chorizo, EXCELLENT, not greasy, not fatty. The tortillas are homemade and so fresh! The staff were so kind and we felt welcome there. The cost was very reasonable. We are going to put this place in our regular rotation! Take it from Arizonans, you have to give it try! Also the music awesome!“
“It's always a consistent experience here. Seated, then chips and salsa immediately. Within a minute, your drink order, and then your food order when you are ready, and then within 10 minutes you are eating. The food is always good and the servers are always nice.“
