25 Best Mexican Restaurants in West Columbia

“We're graced with an abundance of good Mexican restaurants around Columbia. But, I have a short list of favorites, and Tex Mex Columbia is a new (to me) addition.

I had the enchildas with red mole sauce. They were terrific. I've had mole before, but this was a bit spicier. The overall presentation with queso fresca, red onions and cilantro sprinkled on the top was very nice, as well. My son had a burrito and said it was very good.

It's a small, simple space and appears to be a small family operation. You get a sense the folks there are really invested in what they're doing. I probably would have never found it without Google Maps. I'm posting this review so someone else can find it, too. Definitely worth checking out.“

“My family and I visited this restaurant on our travels through the area, and we are so happy we did! The food was absolutely delicious!! We tried the chicken quesadilla, barbacoa torta, beef soup, and a variety of tacos. Everything was amazing. My son loved the soup so much that he drank every drop of the broth. Absolutely recommend this restaurant.“

“This is by far one of the best authentic Mexican places for tacos burritos and they even have Salvadorian and pupusas .. they are awesome with their salsas . But be ready some of them could be hot… everything is made fresh and on the spot refried beans and rice are phenomenal it’s almost like you’re back in Michoacan…. “There are a few Salsarita's in the area, but this one is the best. You can easily tell the staff cares about food quality and service! The restrooms are clean, the "burritos artists" are personable and engaging, and the portions are what one should expect when eating a proper lunch or dinner for the price payed. ¡Muy Excelente!“

“They do not speak a lot of English. They could have talked the meanest things to me in Spanish and I never would have known. But I have to tell you. This place is gold. It's amazing food for an amazing price.

“I visited a year ago and forgot the address and name of the place. Just so happened to stumble upon it and am so glad!! Great food, service and the atmosphere is typical of a quick lunch or inexpensive dinner stop. The food is very fresh. I had the enchilada lunch plate. All three types were very good and enough to fill me up. Unlimited chips/pico and an amazing margarita topped it off. Not sure what the negative reviews were about, I’m picky and have not one complaint!! Give it a try!“

“It's a food "truck" but it's my favorite place to eat at work. Service can be very slow. Not cheap but a good value. I've been recommending it to several coworkers and associates in the area. There's a small covered area you can eat but I think it's best enjoyed back at my desk“

“The food was delicious, the staff was welcoming and friendly. It is a food truck but has a patio with tables, seating, lights, and music. The only limitation is the menu, but I guess that is to be expected. They hand you a beeper so you can wait in your car if you want. The weather was cooler today, so sitting outside listening to the music was enjoyable.“

“This a great restaurant and I would highly recommend it. What makes this restaurant different from other restaurants is they serve Mexican food and food from Honduras. My wife and I have tried Items from both menus and love everything. My wife says that the food has more flavor than other restaurants. I personally love the Tamales from Honduras. My family is from Colombia, South America and these Tamales are the closest to the Tamales you get in Colombia. Please give this restaurant a try. You won't be disappointed.“

“I came to celebrate my sister’s birthday. We had an amazing time, the food was amazing. Ordered an appetizer, it was delicious, shrimp empanadas. Superb taste. Also, ordered the mariscos molcajete, omg!! The octopus and sauce on top was just so tasty. Service was a little slow, as place was packed for Motger Day’s celebration. They had live Mexican music, love it!! they even sang a birthday song for my sister. The waiter, Erica, brought a birthday cinnamon complementary cake as a gift for my sister, she was very attentive. And yes, servers spoke English and Spanish. I recommend this place for any celebration . Love it!!“
