“This place is what my wife has affectionately refered to as a "church of bars". Everybody here is friendly. The owners, the barkeepers, and the customers are all great. There is almost never any trouble. Since everybody knows everybody and everyone are friends, if you start trouble, you start trouble with the entire place. They have live music often. My favorite is Shrek's open mic night on fridays where everybody is more than welcome to play and even one of the bartenders gets into it and drums along either on his djembe or an upturned bucket. I have never once had a bad time here. The prices are among the lowest in the area and the people mame it an awesome spot to hang out.“

“My bartender Felisatie greeted me with a smile and told my what the beer special of today was. She took my drink/food order in a timely fashion and made sure that my food order was complete before she enter it in the cash register...Hey pleasant personality is extremely rare nowadays.“
“Had a great time. We went with a work group from Water Systems and it was a blast. Everyone participated in the axe throwing. Good selection of drinks at the bar, informative introduction and guidance through the process. I even lost an earring that was a gift from my goddaughter and they were amazing about Communication while they looked until they found it and returned it to me. Gabe was our guide and my contact for finding my earring and I can’t say enough nice things about him.“

“11 of us came to town for an LSU game. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like regulars. I cannot say enough about the staff. Meagan, Brianna, and Jayson were amazing. We visited several times during our stay. If we ever come back to town, we will make Calloway’s a must. And, the food was amazing! Don’t miss the wings!!“

“I think this was the best service I’ve had in a restaurant in a while! Chris our waiter was fantastic, quick, kept our drinks full, and so great with the kids. The hostess was prompt and sat us right away with a warm welcome and gave our girls the best attention- which they loved! Food was good and came out quick.“

“Kayla D was a great waitress. She has a genuine people pleasing attitude. We go there weekly and we always ask to be seated at a table she is serving. I recommend this resturant to anyone interested in good food and service.

“Decent food, good service and a nice locals place. In my opinion, the recent remodel sadly turned it from having the feeling of a cool corner bar with a slightly rough-arpund-the-edges appearance, but still a super welcoming place, into a church bingo hall.“

“The food was great, but service was a little slow. When you’re serving more than 1 person in a party, the food should come at the same time (unless it’s a HUGE party, of course). Nonetheless, It was just two of us and our meals were served 15 minutes apart. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and I was a little disappointed.“

“I had what I think was called a chicken Philly hoagie. With the crinkle cut fries. It was great! And the crinkle cup fries were all nice and crispy and not soggy. I was by myself, so I sat at the bar. The bartender / waitress was Maura. She was great with the customers and a great waitress.
I will be back. 😊“
