“Excellent service and the food was very good. The Ambiance was sportbar vibe with TVs all along the walls. The food was hot, well prepared but the service was outstanding. Our waiter was knowledgeable, made great suggestions and checked with us periodically to ensure we had what we needed. The tea is REAL sweet but really good.“
“I go to danos very often . As a single older women I feel so comfortable there and too many folks know me....I get my wine and pizza....and chat amongst other patriots as well .I truly feel safe and happy there. This morning a gentleman knocked at my door....I thought I was gonna get yelled at because of my dogs.. well no barking and he was gentle and so nice....he asked who I was and returned my wallet from yesterday....I went in to get a pizza and some wine...I took only my keys and tiny wallet.....He was the owner of danos and I live close enough that he said he would just drop off....Not a usual situation and I almost cried at an the kindness of Dan to drop off....we live in a world of no ones cares......all the peeps at danos help me and chat with me...Dan went above and beyond.... I'm so lucky to have a local place I call home....lucky me....Love ya danos“
“I took my wife out for the Riverbank Zoo it was nice, then the Saluda river, it was also nice. But let me tell you, the Black Rooster was awesome, I loved the oysters on the half shell. Got too try the Craft beers on tap ?? yummy ? but the service was out of this !world . We will be back !!!“
“It had been years since I ate at an Applebee's, but this location has made us recent regulars. We've ordered ToGo through the drive thru 4 times now, and it is EXCELLENT every single time. Order is correct, on time, easy to pick up, and the person working the window (like tonight) is always so friendly. A very easy 5 stars!“

I wasn’t going to eat but the food looked and smelled so good, I was encouraged to try the soul food buffet. At the Buffet, the chef makes the plate, which I prefer vs everyone touching the utensils. I told the chef just to add a small portion of a couple of items and she said, that’s it. I said yes, I don’t want to waste anything. My GOODNESS! “Came to sit at bar and have after work cocktail. Bartender was AWESOME!! Very cool, took care of us. Lots of pool players. The door of the pool table by the bar kept falling on the floor and the sound would make you jump lol. BIG BIG pool room next door. 3 steel tip dart boards with lots of players. A wide mix of people, different backgrounds and ages which was really cool!“

The staff is very friendly, the owner (who works hard behind the scenes) even came out to chitchat with us and we thanked him for his EXCELLENT cooking. Very laid back and comfortable atmosphere. “My husband got nine wings. Five hot and four with a rub that the waitress recommended. He loved the rub better than his hot wings which is all he ever eats. I got the lunch special, salad, individual pizza and drink. The only thing that disappointed me was, there was no onion in the salad but that won't deter us from going back. The food was very good as was the service.“

They had 9 beers on tap at the time, and a plethora of ingredients to make other cocktails. Although I did not eat, the menu looked expansive and the portions seemed big from what I seen being served.“
“Never a bad day. I go to Hickory Tavern for company lunches and personally. I try something new every time I go and it's always very good and hot. The wings are 10/10. Pow pow shrimp 10/10. The fried shrimp are huge and the fried broccoli was amazing. I can eat that as a main entree any day. My only wish is that I lived closer so I could go more often.“
