“First time eating here. Came a few weeks ago but it was understandably really busy for lunch and I was in a rush. Breakfast at 8:30 and they did a quick, great job with the sausage biscuit and hash rounds. Peaceful atmosphere, good prices and good people.“
“So, if you want some great southern soul food, this is about as good as it gets. Everything was phenomenal. The fried chicken to the fish sandwich, the hush puppies even the lemonade... listen, this place was nostalgic for me. It took me back to when I was a kid waking up on Saturday morning, getting dressed for a family cookout or reunion. It's something about the food at those events that imprint on your mind because it elevates your palate to another level. You just don't get good cooking like that every day, but here you can.... love the family-friendly atmosphere and the smiling faces I get every trip I come here. Just go there and see for yourself.“
“Hands down the best food I have had in a while! We went here with a group of family. Everyone in the party enjoyed their selection!we all recommend the food here! I had the sliders and truffle fries! I would definitely recommend them to anyone! Come with an appetite because the portions are large!most selections can be shared!“
“Located north of Columbia. Store is huge. We used the kiosk to order 2 Pho, 2 Banh Mi, & 4 Pateso for carry out. Service was quick. The pho were excellent, great clear broth, lots of meats. Their beef meatballs were excellent. The banh mi sandwiches were great, lots of pate on the special combo. The pateso could be better, the meat filling is too large that it makes the bottom crush soft. I do like the crust, just need the bottom crust to stay dry to remain crunchy. Overall excellent foods. The tea drink was very good too.“
“Y'all, when I say this is the best burger joint arguably in all of South Carolina, I am not joking. I would put this up to any burger in this state. Forget Pawleys Porch. Forget Five Guys. This place is phenomenal. Food is cooked to order. Starting from the top the SBA (soft bun action) is perfect. A good soft bun, but not one that breaks apart with the condiments added on or fresh ingredients. That leads me to my next ingredient. The tomato's, lettuce, onions, pickles, all of the toppings are crazy fresh. Tastes like they just picked them out the garden and sliced them right away. Next the meat. The absolutely best flavored, seasoned, juicy, charred, cut of meat I can think of putting in my mouth. It's not just salt and pepper and thrown on a flat top. Has spice, but not too much, has perfect taste, excellent temperature not undercooked not over cooked. Steve knows his beef burgers, take my word for it. Next the price for a burger with a side and a drink is absolutely insane compared to other places in this inflated 2024 year. I fed myself and my wife, and 2 children for next to nothing price wise. I would've had to take out a loan to get all of this at Five Guys. Now I have to ding them on 2 things. The crinkle cut fries are OK, not good not bad, kinda mid. But the biggest thing I think would take this spot to the next level is if they had DUKE'S MAYO!! They only have packets of Monarch mayo. Everyone knows in the south Duke's is the way and the only way. I would even settle for Hellmann's mayo over Monarch. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ADD DUKE'S MAYO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!!!! Alas, even if they don't heed my word, the burger meat speaks so much for itself, it drowns out the tasteless Monarch mayo. Other than that don't change anything about this place. I will literally go out of my way (I live 45 mins away one way from this establishment) every time I am craving a burger. Maybe in the mean time I will sneak in a bottle of Duke's in my pocket. I will gladly give my hard earned money to these fine, nice, polite people. SUPPORT LOCAL!!!!!! Oh and a bonus is there is an ice cream store attached to this spot, and it's just as great, but that will be it's own separate review.**UPDATE/REVISED**Went back there today with proper Duke's mayonnaise, and I can't ding this guy for the condiments he chooses. The burger meat, buns and toppings speak for themselves period point blank as well as the prices. I would maybe do things different with the condiments if this was my establishment, but I can't judge or ding him for it. Got the tater tots this time, and very much enjoyed those over the fries.Side note, I like that he puts his faith out there, with the Bibles and themes, and people need to stop mocking him or judging him based off this. What a society we now live in that feels justified in coming at this man in his own establishment for his religion and beliefs. Shame on each and every one of you. Just shows how much we have gone down as a country, as none of this would've happened 20 to 30 years ago. I am 37 years old, not big on religion or going to church, but I do believe there is a God, one God, and everyone is going to face Him after this life.Keep doing what you are doing at this place of business and may God bless this man, establishment, and employees. Perfect score across the board 10/10. A++!!“
“Hidden GEM. Everyone that works there has been nothing but kind every time we come in. Order EARLY and be prepared for a possible wait, you will understand why when you try the food!! Their loaded spuds are KING and big enough to share. I don’t eat BBQ anywhere else now.“
“I’ve been in Columbia for over 20 and this was my first time eating at Racks. The service was outstanding . The waitress was very attentive and helpful. The food was amazing it came out piping hot. I can’t wait to go back and try more food. I loved the atmosphere of adults just having fun.“
“I take my kids here when it rains outside. We get ice cream and French fries and drive around.Five stars for what it is. A traditional leaning, not quite fast food, ice cream / concession stand style food that does what it does fairly well.Ice cream + French fry combo is elite.“
“First time visiting Zesto's and I wasn't disappointed. The chicken is really good! Haven't had a chance to try any other menu items yet as I was only visiting South Carolina briefly. The atmosphere reminds me of the old diner look from the menu display to the seating and menu items which includes milk shakes, banana boats, fries, fried chicken, hot dogs apple pies etc. I will be returning on my next visit to SC. If you're in the area stop by and check them out.“
“Russia never disappoints kinda like Chick-fil-A pretty consistent. Have great memories of my parents picking up food and coming out to the pond meeting me and the children and having picnics on Sunday catching fish and catching sun the chili cheeseburger basket is a must have you gotta get the banana split “
“My favorite place for lunch. I usually get the fried chicken basket but the burger and chicken sandwich baskets are good too. This particular location has a sweet senior citizen who comes around and refills tea and collects trash. Great place!“
“Hello everyone my name is Anthony AKA 4nine me and my wife Ms Janice came to this wonderful place and received nothing but the best customer service from Mr Mark through the year's and the food is still fresh hot and good thanks also to the women it's still a family place to be God bless you.“
“Pork sliders were amazing....only wished they were a bit more than room temperature. My friend ordered fried pickles, and I was pretty darn convinced I did not like fried pickles 25yrs ago, until I had the crispy fried pickles perfected at Burger Tavern 77....my new favorite appetizer.“
“Get the poundcake waffle and chicken. I just had to try it...Guy down the road said this is the best soul food in Columbia. Showed me his take out (fish and a poundcake waffle). Says he ate there 3 times this week.Little hole in the wall place between 2 commercial buildings.Poundcake waffle was delish!Wings with Paolou's sauce ...probably the best wings I've had in the Carolinas.Owner was pleasant and nice to chat with.Would be a great place to catch the game, or just grab a bite at lunch.I live over 2 hrs away, but I will be back.Small local family owned joint with home made foods. Everything down to the sauces made from scratch.Small crew, so be patient. Sit back, enjoy a drink while you wait for the home made goodness!“
“Great food, fast with polite staff. Clean location but the prices have gotten out of hand. $9.77 for a double hamburger and $4.77 for little fries is absolutely ridiculous. Add those price points, a five guys trip is now a special occasion! There should be some type of value menu where you don't have to downsize so much to get a filling offering for the $10 price plant that it used to be before taxes..“
“Lunch with coworkers. I arrived late and my food came only slightly after my team's. Service was excellent. It had been years since I'd been, but it still has the best teriyaki wings. I got regular fries because I had forgotten about floppy fries. They are definitely on the menu on the next visit.“
“IHOP offers a delightful dining experience with its cozy atmosphere and a menu that caters to a variety of tastes. The food quality surpasses local diners, with well-seasoned dishes that often require no additional salt[1]. The pancakes are a standout, offering a rich, buttery flavor that's not too sweet, complemented by a variety of syrups[2]. While some items like the bacon may not always meet expectations, the overall value and taste make IHOP a solid choice for a family breakfast outing“
“Five guys has great burgers and fries, and this location never disappoints. Place is run like a well oiled machine. Everyone is focused and the hard work shows in how great the food is. Been going for years, and never had a problem. On the rare occasion something is missing or wrong in the order, they fix it asap without making me feel bad for mentioning it. This is not how most restaurants or fast food runs in the NE Cola area, truly is well run.“
“It had been years since I ate at an Applebee's, but this location has made us recent regulars. We've ordered ToGo through the drive thru 4 times now, and it is EXCELLENT every single time. Order is correct, on time, easy to pick up, and the person working the window (like tonight) is always so friendly. A very easy 5 stars!“
“my experience here was by far the most absolute extreme furthest amount of what it could've been if it were how it was when I went there and actually even probably or most likely was better before then but about the same as how I liked it bc most of the time I loved the way it has always been and still love the way it is but if I had to say how much would be like saying what I used to always say or have said before or even how I'm saying now that it was definitely what it is without being too much but certainly could've been without any of the same amounts as it has been when I went there before.Wheelchair accessibility: nice ramp big air“
“The establishment was easy to locate. There is not much parking. The place was welcoming and nicely decorated, there is a patio to sit outside as well. Went for brunch, the food was kind of blend, need more spices. The service was great, really attentive. Overall 6/10, nothing too bad or too great.“
“Great hamburgers and fries. With all Five Guys I know I'm going to get a great burger. Been going to them ever scene they opened in Arlington Virginia. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Good prices. Love the peanuts. Right down the street from The Senate and other clubs.“
“now I'll say this if I'm going to say anything at all about this establishment and that's that this place is a place worth saying something about if one were to say something it could easily be said that saying something is the thing to do that way something was said which is what this is all about of course, wouldn't you say?“
“I love scooters!!! I was really impressed by the service at this location and also in Sumter. Seems they train employees very well. The coffee has been amazing both times i’ve gone and the drive through extremely fast. They make my coffee better than other chains so i will be going here from now on in the future. Such a cute little vibe going on here. Thanks scooters for coming to Blythewood!!!“
“Our visit to IHOP was a mixed bag, starting with the challenges of finding a parking spot and a somewhat lengthy 30-minute wait for a table. However, once we were seated, the experience took a positive turn. The service was commendable; staff were attentive, friendly, and efficient, making sure our needs were met throughout the meal. The food itself was a highlight. It arrived hot, fresh, and well-presented. The menu offered a wide variety of options, catering to different tastes and dietary needs. Each dish we ordered was cooked to perfection, with flavors that lived up to IHOP’s reputation for comforting and hearty breakfasts. Portions were generous, providing good value for the price. In conclusion, despite the initial inconvenience of parking and waiting, our overall experience at IHOP was enjoyable. The quality service and delicious food made up for the rocky start. I would recommend visiting during off-peak hours to avoid the wait and enjoy a pleasant dining experience.“
“When passing through the midlands, I always try to his up a Rush's. This location was good this visit. Fast service and hot French fries and cheese burger. If you haven't tried a Rush's, they are definitely worth checking out. The sweet tea is also yummy.“
“Love the food, atmosphere and service. Greeted as soon as I walk in the door. Bartenders are nice and prompt, and knows how to bartend. The cooks are definitely on point with everything. Haven't had a bad experience or issue with any food I've ordered thus far. Owners are friendly and professional. Love this “
“I am a repeat offender here and that is sayin somethin! The burgers are juicy, loaded and eccentric. I highly recommend the sweet potato fries with Parmesan and chives! All of their fry variations are delicious and crispy and reheat very well! All of their burgers are amazing and they don’t skip out on toppings. The el gringo is my fave, and the hot mess never disappoints! If you’re feeling extra, the rancheros Fritos are Devine!“
“Best bar in Columbia SC, as a matter of fact in the whole world. I have been to many bars in my lifetime but no other bar has ever given me the satisfaction of happiness that the nut gives me! I come here all the time with my friends and we have all unanimously agreed that there is no place like the salty nut. I love this place and I will be coming here until the day I die. Service is incredible, bartenders really care about their customers and get the job done even when it is really busy (which is all the time). And the food is the best bar food I have ever had. You haven't really lived until you have experienced the experience that is, The Salty Nut.“
“This was my first time at Any Five Guys and I have to say I been missing out. Let me tell u the food was so good I was licking my plate and fingers ????? I had the Bacon Cheeseburger wrapped in lettuce and it was Delicious do u hear me. I will be back to get some mo but this is not helping my diet, but can’t help it. Five Guys are doing something great over there. I will be going there from now on because I can’t eat at McDonalds anymore there’re food makes me sick. Five Guys wish I could give u 10 Stars because u deserve it.“
“It was my first time eating at a Freddy's Steakhouse. As soon as I walked in I realized how clean this place was, it made me wanna stay and eat there. Even after majority of costumers had left, one of the employees was making sure the tables and everything around was clean. Service was great, the cashier who helped us out was very nice and helpful. I personally wasn't the biggest fan of the cheese fries (nothing wrong with them, just not my favorite but my partner did enjoyed them). Overall the food and environment was pretty good. 10/10“
“I'm surprised I haven't added this sooner than now. I totally thought I did. It may not be the prettiest place or the place to go to get the best customer service, but Bernie's is a Columbia staple. Their chicken meals are hardly ever a miss. I love that no matter how busy they are, they still accept call-in orders, which cuts down on the wait. I also love when it's busy because everything is fresh. The tea is great, too. I usually go for the chicken special if I don't do the family meal. I appreciate the rolls, the coleslaw, and the little cups of hot sauce. They also serve other things, like hot dogs and such.“
“Almost all the food here has always been good but not great. I would love to give fives star because I’ve never had any big issues but have definitely experienced little annoyances like wings only sauced on one side. The wings are the best option, but I also enjoy the peach lemonade. Great option for a quick lunch.“
“The General Manager Ms. Pat goes over and beyond to ensure all customers are served Fresh Food, Made Right in an expeditious way! I encourage anyone who is in the Rosewood area to stop by her Hardee's!Parking: Parking Lot stays clean!Wheelchair accessibility: Accessibility is on the side facing Rosewood Dr“
“I discovered Jack Brown's while looking for late-night dining options downtown. The positive reviews and the fact that they were open until 2AM caught my attention. Tucked among other late-night hangouts, this place has a cozy vibe with wooden bar furniture, string lights, and great music. The bartender, Meredith, and the rest of the staff were attentive and efficient. I ordered the double classic jack burger with fries, and it was fantastic. The burger was juicy and perfectly cooked, and the combination of caramelized onions and thinly sliced dill pickles added a delightful tartness. The JB sauce, with its almost tartar-like consistency, was delicious—I even used it to smother my crinkle cut fries. I'd love to have the recipe for that sauce at home. My whole party of four thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and we all wished we had ordered the double burger like I did. I highly recommend this spot.“
