“I recently visited Mack's Cash Grocery in Columbia, SC, and ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries and a drink. “I hadn’t been to Steve’s since they moved from their old location and we were in the area today. My husband had never been and we were happy to have such a clean and welcoming place to bring our daughter. The prices are good, the patty melts were great, and the tea was good. I don’t know what else I could ask for! We’re happy to support local businesses and Steve’s is definitely a place we will visit again soon.“

“We always enjoy a great burger here, and they even have gluten free buns! Customer service is fantastic! The wait staff is polite, informative, and give just the right amount of service... and not hovering. Each time we have eaten here, the manager checks in with us to make sure everything is as it should be. Perhaps it was the last time we ate here, I happened to forget an unusual drinking cup. I was totally surprised when today the waitress saw I had a similar one with me and inquired if I might have left one behind. They kept it safe for a few weeks and returned it to me! #10+ for that service!“

“Loved this Mom and Pop style food stop. Reminds me of the old corner kitchens from when I was younger.

I got the cheeseburger basket all the way, which came with fries and also got a small side of onion rings. The fries were seasoned perfectly and that burger was MASSIVE! I snacked on the onion rings during my drive so I didn't get a chance to get a picture of them but they were great, too!

If you are looking for that original, small-town, corner kitchen feel, this is the place to go. You will not be disappointed. I will definitely be back anytime I am in this part of town.

Parking: Parking is slim and you may have to park on one of the side streets but the the food is worth it.“

“A dependable community staple. Always a great place to stop for a quick bite. However, the chicken I received was a bit hard. Must have been sitting under the heat lamp to long. Otherwise, still one of my favorite places to stop for something quick to eat. The Staff is always attentive and pleasant with a smile.“

Reason for the 4 star review was simply because of the long wait period (nearly 20 minutes) in the drive thru from the time we placed our order until we got to the window to pay and pick up our food. There was a line wrapped around the building at one point. Not the employees' faults', however. The nice lady at the window apologized for the wait and said they were really understaffed. Completely understand. Perhaps the company should look into hiring additional staff or overstaff just to be prepared for any call offs/breaks. Perhaps pay is a factor. “Freddy’s became one of my favorite burger places since I moved to SC. All the ingredients were put together very well, not to mention how nicely seasoned they were. The fries tasted extra nice with their frozen custard and I’d definitely keep going back for more.“

The gal working the drive through was so friendly and helpful and the person making my burger went above and beyond by doing a little lettuce wrap instead of plopping it into a container.
