“Bar 167 is everything you love about Charleston food and drinks in one chill, intimate space. Leave the packed tourists at 167 Raw and book a reservation at this gem from the same team right around the corner. Excellent cocktails and wine pair with creative and delicious seafood dishes meant to share. Bar 167 masters the vibe factor that always narrowly eludes 167 Raw. Come thirsty and often. Best downtown spot for lunch, ‘bar’ none.“

“We were visiting Charleston, and our family has a number of food allergies - milk, egg, peanuts, tree nuts, plus I'm gluten-free. We are accustomed to limited options, being disappointed, and risking allergic reactions when eating out. So, we were unexpectedly blown away by how delicious the food was. There were so many options that we could enjoy. The crispy brussel sprouts and arroz con pollo was milk, nut and gluten free. My kiddos with milk, egg, and nut allergies loved their quesadillas, tacos, and sweet potato fries. The food was fresh with quality ingredients, bursting with flavor AND no one got sick after eating there. Win! Win! Win!It was so nice not to have to sacrifice flavor for safe food. I look forward to eating here again the next time we visit Charleston!“

“This place surprised me. Did not expect a place that served American bar food to have good sushi. BUT I was pleasantly surprised. Enough to come back and get 5rolls for a date. I can’t remember exactly what I got but I do know both the fried and raw sushi was very good.“

“Izzy was absolutely fabulous. She works tirelessly and sufficiently. Tristen Trethewey used chatgpt to write his review. The brisket nachos never fail to leave me full. What relationship does Ben have with his uncle? Peerless location. 10/10 would recommend“

“The in house entertainment was top notch, guy was killing it! The drinks were delicious, and the queso, salsa, and guacamole with house made tortilla chips was great. The tacos, lemme tell you, I make a great Americano taco. I have been put to shame, that was probably the best Americano I've had. The shrimp taco was good, and the fried chicken taco as well.Only thing, the one and only thing I didnt enjoy was the cilantro, and I can't help that. Honestly I didnt even think to ask if it could be removed so thats my problem really. Also, it does list ingredients and tells you whats in the taco so you know basically what you are getting. The staff was great as well, kept us topped off and the water for the table full. 10/10Vegetarian options: They had several dishes labeled for vegetarians and vegans.“

“I went for lunch with a buddy. I got two carnitas tacos with rice and beans which is their lunch special. Everything was great the meat was very flavorful. My friend got the ramen and I tried some and it was very close to being the best ramen I’ve ever had. I will definitely be back and I will definitely get the ramen.“

“Oh boy, let me taco 'bout Taco Boy in Charleston, SC! First off, let me shell out the basics: this place is nacho average taco joint. It's a fiesta of flavors that'll make you wanna salsa dance right there on the beach! Now, I'm a simple man. I like my lawn mowed, my jokes dad-level, and my tacos packed with flavor. And let me tell you, Taco Boy doesn't disappoint. Their tacos are like a treasure chest of taste, and I'm not just spicing things up here. The **Carnitas Taco**? More like Car-NEAT-as, because it's the neatest little package of pork you'll ever eat. And the **Fish Taco**? It's off the hook! Literally, it must've been swimming yesterday because it's that fresh. The atmosphere? It's like if a beach party and a family BBQ had a baby. It's casual, it's fun, and there's enough sun to go around. The decor is as colorful as the language I use when I stub my toe on the beach chair—vibrant and full of life! Now, let's taco 'bout the service. The staff at Taco Boy are the real MVPs. They're quicker than me running to the thermostat when someone touches it. And they're friendlier than me when I see the neighbor's dog—always happy to see ya!But wait, there's more! The **margaritas** are so good, they'll make you forget about your long "to-dew" list. And the **chips and guac**? Holy guacamole, it's like dipping into heaven. So, if you're in Charleston and looking for a place that's got more charm than a dad's puns at a family gathering, head on over to Taco Boy. It's a place where every day is Taco Tuesday, and the only thing better than the food is the company.Taco Boy is the place to be if you're looking to spice up your life with some good eats and great beats. And remember, if you don't like tacos, I'm nacho type of guy! Keep it cheesy, Charleston!“

“The food was amazing. The staff was very nice, though communication was sometimes difficult. There was no wait when we came in. We got our food quickly. The tables were clean. This place is a hole in the wall with good food and kind people.“

“Cute corky place to eat at. Service was good and so was food. Wish we could try their ceviche and but by 7:30 pm they ran out of few staples and closed early. Pink cactus lemonade was good. Place has a nice vibe. We only sat outside so I am not sure how inside is. Pink cactus decor outside was super cute.“

“As a native Texan I grew up on authentic Tex-Mex and Mexican cuisine. El Rincon brings me back to my Texas roots with a menu of fresh, homemade Mexican dishes that put the local chain Mexican joint to shame. Let's start with the homemade chips and fresh salsa - not jar salsa too often served by other Mexican restaurants. The salsa had a great medium heat and was perfect with the still warm chips. The menu, while simple, is well executed across the board. We all ordered different dishes and each was excellently prepared. Delicious chicken mole, tacos, and carne asada quesadilla prepared with homemade tortillas (there's nothing better) flavorful beef chunks and gooey melted cheese. We finished with crisp, cinnamon covered churros. The restaurant recently acquired their liquor license so we were able to enjoy our meals with cold Modelos and tequila sodas - a huge plus for most Mexican diners. The owner, Idalis, is delightful and deserves the island's support. We desperately need another locally owned, authentic, ethnic restaurant and they've shown me that they deserve our patronage. Although we own a restaurant just a mile away, we'll be having dinner with Idalis and her lovely staff every Tuesday night when we're closed and invite y'all to join us and help El Rincon thrive.“
