“This is my favorite place to eat in Mauldin! I eat here at least once a week. (For the last 5 years. Not exaggerating) Always order the exact same thing. STEAK HIBACHI! The veggies are always very fresh and crisp and the meat and rice is not greasy. And their sushi is really good too!“

“We have been going since the 90s. The food is always fresh and the service is always perfect. We celebrated a birthday yesterday (9/21/26) and our server was on point. He didn't miss a thing! He made the birthday girl's night. The only reasn I'm taking off a star is because the table was so small. It would've been better for 4 people instead of 6. It certainly wasn't a deal breaker.
It always feels like going home for a wonderful meal. They are very dear to our family.
**We were sharing a room with another large crowd, so it was a little difficult to hear. Normally that isn't the case.“

“My family and I just happened to wander into the front doors of this wonderful place and we were extremely pleased with prompt, friendly service, relatively affordable pricing (especially considering the area), and exceptionally fresh and wonderful food. The atmosphere was very upscale, but being casually dressed in blue jeans and t-shirts, we still felt very comfortable and welcome. I had the Hibachi Chicken Plate, and she had the Steak Hibachi. We split our Sushi: the “IBM Roll” and “BMW Roll” and words cannot describe how fresh and delectable everything tasted. “I moved into The McClaren apts. (awesome place) about 14 months ago and discovered Otto Izakaya early on. Only 2 blocks away for me. Otto is, and has been, my go to place, especially when friends, family or business friends are visiting. Not a sole I have introduced has ever had anything but praises for the experience. If we are a small group, I always encourage dining at the bar. I have no idea who will read this, but people buy from people; and people they enjoy interacting with. I would be totally remiss if I didn't specifically mention bar manager Matt and his team behind the bar. If Matt has ever met a stranger, I missed it, as he has the personality to balance the engagement with customers, while still providing excellent customer service. Also, everything I've tried off the menu is high-grade and fresh! That's a must for me. I'd be slack if I didn't mention the awesome hard working sushi chefs, who are always open to preparing a creation to suit YOUR palate and preferences. As to other regular customers, and just my observation, but like me, they appear to have found a home away from home; a place to be comfortable, chill and let the time spent make a bad day better. I almost never take the time to give a review and especially a compliment; as I sometimes look for the negatives, as it is always so easy to criticize. So, as a native Greenvillian and business (person); and someone who believes and enjoys a five ***** experience that is reasonably priced, give Otto Izakaya a try. “I met a friend here on Friday for lunch. This place came recommended highly for great Chinese in Greer. Looked over the reviews and knew what I wanted. I ordered the crab rangoon and they were hot and delicious! Bourbon chicken lunch special as my entree and my friend said they had philly cheesesteak egg rolls so I got one of those to try. Wasn't impressed with the egg roll but that bourbon chicken was absolutely delicious! Mixing the rice in with the extra sauce is the way to go!

The owner is super sweet and her staff are fantastic. Restaurant is clean and very well ran. I look forward to coming back!

“They were at fall for Greenville. This was the only stall I walked away from satisfied. I was not satisfied with fall for Greenville this year. I also heard others complaining about how the food this year sucked and was no fall themed at all. Although this stall was the only stall I liked and wanted more from. Everywhere else I tried I walked away disappointed or just didn’t sound good. I seen sushi and thought that’s a safe food to eat. It’s crazy to think I left fall for Greenville hungry. Also another girl walking by said “there isn’t anything speaking to me.” Which I very much agreed with. I shown up hungry and walked by every stall like nope not interested. “We made it over for the night and wanted sushi. AYCE is usually a better bargain for us, so that is what I looked for. I picked a great option with Sushi Kingdom. Everything from the time we walked in to the time we left was perfect. Friendly, quick service and the sushi was fresh and rolls were flavorful! Would definitely go back here!“

“Kanpai Of Tokyo - Greenville, SC has been a family tradition for birthday dinners for over 2 decades. This year as soon as we ordered I let them know that we some dietary restrictions (eggs for me, gluten for my young child). I told the server my daughter couldn’t have soy sauce thinking it would be easier than explaining gluten free/celiac. The server responded asking if she needed gluten free. When the chef came over he cleaned the grill and made my daughter’s food first to ensure there was no cross contamination. The server brought our salads out and the chef quickly stopped him from handing my daughter her salad with ginger dressing informing me that it had gluten in it and asking if ranch was ok instead. He realized after cooking her food that he had cracked an egg on the grill for my daughter’s food and apologized and cleaned the grill again before cooking my food. He also made sure to tell me which sauces contained gluten to keep my daughter safe. This was by far the most stellar service we have had in a restaurant since her celiac diagnosis and we will definitely be back“

“Good value for the price. I had the hibachi vegetables which was a generous portion of broccoli, onions and carrots. The sushi was simple and rolled well. Plenty of staff however when one person was taking a phone order the cooks were at the counter and ignored me until the cashier could hand me sauce.“
