“My dear friends took me here today, for my birthday lunch. The food was truly amazing!!! We all enjoyed your daily specials. The meat was so tender and wonderful. “Mamie's is a regular stop for cheeseburgers and onion rings on the way to/from the beach. Freshly made real onion rings are crispy and tasty. Cheeseburgers are thick, hand patties. Old school atmosphere. Schedule your trip around when they are opened.“

“I will be the first person to say Captain D's usually doesn't impress me. Perhaps, I have judged them all unfairly against my experience at one. That being said, this one in Laurenburg, NC was amazing! We ordered our food and drinks, I went to wash my hands and when I got back to the table our food was ready. Less than 3-4 minutes from order to table. This has not been my experience previously at other locations. Our food was hot and delicious 😋 the staff was friendly and prompt. I'm glad we are moving to the area and I will get to come here more often! Thank you for changing my mind!“

“My experience was great. When I walked in the waitress and cook stopped arguing long enough to look over at my wife and I and told us to have a seat anywhere. The cook was blaring Pooh Sheisty over the speakers. It was a magical experience as always at Waffle House. Brrr brrr!“
