“We had a large Jeep group come in all at once on New Years Day in the afternoon. They handled it perfectly, the food was great and service was on point. Thank you for making our group feel welcome and our visit so enjoyable.”

“Absolutely love this new cafe!!. It is in such a great location on the way to Kiawah Island. To Go options, smoothies, brunch options, coffee, alcohol, picnic options, indoor sit down dining, and outdoor air down dining options. Atmosphere is super fresh, clean, everyone is so friendly and kind. We were a bit nervous stopping at a new place but absolutely fell in love. We also have two little boys and we did not feel uncomfortable or a nuisance. We often times run into that feeling when eating but that was not the case. They also had a refrigerator full of all local business products from local alcohol to local bagels to local ice cream. We will be definitely stopping by next time we go to Kiawah and also we will be bringing all of our local friends. Such a nice warm welcome change when it comes to places to eat in the Kiawah area.”

“We love eating at Harvest Moon on our way to Edisto Beach! The home cooked food is always great! Everyone that works at Harvest Moon is always friendly and eager to please! Tonight our waitress was Hayley, and she was great! She was friendly, attentive, and personable! It was so nice to have a pleasant dining experience with such good food and wonderful service. We will be back soon!”

“Well, after 25 years of visiting the Tomato Shed on a regular basis, you've finally done it. You made a meal that I didn't like. My mother in law (from Michigan) insists on going to the Tomato Shed every time they visit Charleston, which we are always happy to accommodate. This visit, I had the meatloaf. It was well prepared, others at our table thought it was great. I just didn't care for it. No, there was nothing wrong with it. Yes, it looked wonderful, and smelled amazing. I have no valid complaint about it. I just didn't care for it.

So, why am I writing this review? Because it is the first time since moving back home that I didn't absolutely love everything I've had there. Such a rarity needs to be remarked upon.

Our server was awesome (I didn't remember his name, but he was cheerful and fun), the ambience was very pleasant, as always, and the whole experience was excellent. But, for the first time ever, the Tomato Shed was not *perfect*.

We had the pimento chitin start followed by the fried chicken with cheese Mac and collard greens and finished it off with banana pudding. “If you have kids and you are staying on Kiawah, this is the area you want to be in. We were there for Thanksgiving and this place was action packed.. lots of events and energy. The resort does an amazing job. Cafe/store is also fantastic.”

“Great spot on Kiawah for breakfast or lunch. Inside and outside seating options. Not the fastest, but the courtesy, attitude, and laidback atmosphere makes up for it. Read the whole menu and then make a choice because there are some sleepers. I’d recommend coming back a few times so you can try several sandwiches and salads.”

“Ordered take out by phone. Easy to find from our Vrbo rental. Food was ready when we got there. Short drive home and food was still hot. We ordered Egg Foo Young, rice with chicken and Beef and Vegetables. Everything was very tasty. Rice was slightly bland and could have had more flavour but still very edible. The beef was very tender and the sauce was just spicy enough. Overall a good meal and would order again.”

“I visit here when I am in the Charleston area, which is mostly in the winter and early spring.

Each time the waite staff has been extremely helpful and attentive. No matter what else is going on, they always are on point.

The gumbo is very good as are the grouper bites. The flounder is also very good.

I prefer sitting in the enclosed patio area which seems to be more comfortable although I have been inside for dinner as well. Just a different feel.

I would highly recommend this location to anyone.”

Made with real crab meat baked in a light airy crust, I was instantly transported back to Charleston with each bite! I will certainly be dropping by your establishment on my trips to Charleston!!
