“How does this place only get 4.4?? I have eaten here multiple times and it's always been outstanding. So many restaurants are reviewed by people who are happy to eat mediocre food but this is anything but that. Most people happily review French cuisine but they have never been to France for example. This is a diamond in the rough for sure.“
“What an delightful experience! when you arrive Mike greets you and is a gracious host for the evening. The food was delicious and interesting. Mike talks history which was both interesting and entertaining. I wish Mike and his supper club were everywhere. If you are going to be in Charleston book it, you will not be disappointed!“
“Great spot for elevated post-work drinks and light bites. The decor and menu are chic and not overwhelming. I had the Belle Fleur and would recommend for those who prefer a non-sweet floral forward cocktail. Cocktails aren’t cheap (around $20/each) but they’re well done.“

“This was a first for my wife and I to experience French Cuisine for her Burfday and Brasserie La Banque met all of our expectations and also surpassed those through their hospitality and being sure their patrons were treated as royalty. We will definitely be dining there again as soon as possible.“

“39 Rue de Jean is in a great location for anyone seeing a show at the Charleston Music Hall or Music Farm. There is plenty of parking in the visitors center (bus shed) just a couple blocks away.
The second vice was fantastic. Very attentive and knowledgeable and was very accommodating when we couldn’t decide what wine we wanted.
The food is good. In fact, it’s more like 4.5 stars. However, in a foodie city like Charleston it’s a little overshadowed. I had the fried goat cheese salad, which was light and refreshing. My wife got the Caesar salad which was perfectly done, at least for us. Just be aware that you might find anchovy pieces.
My wife got the ravioli with shrimp. The shrimp were fresh and perfectly cooked- tender, sweet, and flavorful. My dish was the scallops. The scallops were perfectly cooked and tender. It was very delicious but not super filling, being paired with pearl onions and sprouts. Overall, very good, and I wish I could give 4.5 stars.“

“My wife and I visited Eleve for an afternoon refreshment and had a great experience. Katie, our server, was friendly and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We sat out on the rooftop patio which was very comfortable with a nice view. We can definitely recommend a visit here when you're visiting Charleston!“
