In our last two visit the staff was not welcoming and quite rude. They act like they don't like their job, I said thank twice and they didn't respond and just walk away with a facial expression that say ok now get the hell on. I gave 4 stars because the cafe itself is still nice.
I learned about the cafe at the Mount Pleasant Welcome Center. Met two helpful staff- Stephanie & Barbara-with Stephanie preparing a BLT & Barbara working the cash register. The BLT was good size on toasted white bread & tasty. Also on the menu are rebens, deli sandwiches, chips, brownies, beer/wine, milkshakes, floats, ice cream & candies. The cafe is located on the Mount Pleasant pier. Seating is outside. For a gift shop just about item as any gift shop, just on a smaller scale....read full review

Decent coffee and large selection of gifts. The staff weren't that friendly and the food selection wasn't great so we didn't get food. They should really have coffee ready when they open and not wait until they open the door to start brewing it.
