“I Recently moved to North Augusta. A friend from Savannah called to tell me about McNeelys Place. What a treat my first visit was. Homemade Chicken Pie, collard greens, wonderful Mac and cheese and good cornbread. Even the tea was great. I felt like I had stepped back in time and was eating at my Mothers table. The dining rooms were attractive and spotlessly clean. The staff was friendly and efficient. We met the cook who was delightful in addition to being talented. I brought home a box of delicious vegetables. Already planning my next visit.“

“Great Price 2 can eat with drinks for under $32 with $4 tip tossed in. Great Wait staff with only 1 exception. A taller, heavy set, black hair waitress. Angie is a great Mgr, and handles issues quickly. Lately, the food has been hit or miss. Too many times, the Country Fried steak has been burnt black in places and dried out. Great dinner rolls. Very good Peach Cobbler. Very Good Chicken wings, shrimp/fish pieces when the pans are refilled. Average Fried pork chops Meat buffet items seem to be getting slower to be refilled. Desserts: Cakes, puddings and a freezer full of Ice Cream cups. We eat there mybe about once a month now, where it use to be once a week.“

“What an incredible time we had me and my husband had to tonight. Service was incredible - Terran could teach a master class on service. His great personality, attention to details and just over all service manner enhanced the atmosphere and the food. Food was delicious. Love the design. (Love everything except for the uncomfortable side chairs that don’t seem to go with the beautiful design). Will definitely drive down from Columbia again to dine at Abel Brown.“

“Atmosphere was a vibe. Music was way too loud though for the amount of us that was in there, but the cashier was absolutely amazing. She was very sweet and kind and really took care of us. I was confused on my order and she fixed it with no issues no judgment or attitude. I need this everywhere I go.“

“The brunch was excellent! The layout of the food just stunning! The prime rib was cooked to perfection! The seafood was plentiful with plump pieces of shrimp, raw oysters on the half shell and several other things to choose from! Let's not forget the lobster Mac and cheese! Of course there were the more traditional things to choose from but these things I listed were the highlight of my meal. Dessert was a problem. Too many wonderful things to choose from! Bananas foster topped with vanilla ice cream was my favorite! It was cooked by a staffer as we looked on as she cooked it beautifully. Presentation stunning. The staff was yes, the hostess with the mostest! For the amount, the holiday, fair price for what was included. Will make it a tradition for our family and friends!! 💝“

“This is my most favorite place restaurant to eat . I love the atmosphere and character of this place. The food has always been awesome! The service has always been amazing. We have our favorite waitress, Hayley, who we’ve been lucky to get each time we go. Her personality is a delight and she has great people skills. We’re went on my birthday and I feel she really went out of her way to make it awesome.

“My favorite BBQ place! Gluten free buns available, thick fries, brisket always has a yummy caramelized crust. The grape lemonade is original and amazing. Customer service is always outstanding; very hospitable and every visit someone checks on us to see if we are enjoying ourselves.“

“My uncle told my mother and I about the place so we decided to go. I can't eat spicy foods and everything I tried was great and flavored just perfect. I got so much on my plate I ate two times on it. My mother and I took my sister and she loved it also. We have decided not to cook for new years so we are hoping they will be opened New Year so we can go there.“

“Went in while waiting for my car to be serviced, looking for a place to chill for a while. Wasn't expecting a delicious meal ... Chicken fingers were amazing, hush puppies and the baked beans just took me straight to heaven. I couldn't believe I finished the whole plate!“

“I am usually there every Thursday. I always love talking to the lady's inside and shoot the breeze with the brothers outside! Great laid back and quiet atmosphere... I usually get the pulled pork, hash and rice with Mac and cheese. It NEVER fails that it is better each time. As a matter of fact, I am on my way now.“

“I love Cheddar Scratch Kitchen! We have several up north. The honey croissants are amazing and a must have if you are stopping in or eating out. The southern fried chicken was an amazing deal. For $3 extra you got an entire second chicken breast. Only issue is the curbside pickup is not connected to the text you receive when order like all other major restaurant chains.“
