Not only did he offer alternative menu options to expedite my meal, but he also went above and beyond by ensuring I was comfortable during the brief wait. Despite my reassurance that there was no rush on my end, he generously provided pastries to enjoy while patiently waiting for my dish to be ready. It's rare to encounter such transparency and genuine concern for customer satisfaction in the restaurant industry. The Junction Kitchen exemplifies what true hospitality means, setting a standard that many others could learn from. As for the meal itself, it surpassed expectations. “Edmund’s Original is one of our favorite restaurants in Charleston. It’s the perfect mix of quality and price, with a team that always makes us feel right at home. I can’t speak highly enough of this place. Whenever someone comes to visit from out of town, we bring them to EO so they can get a taste of what we’re fortunate to enjoy regularly. The food is phenomenal - from the fried chicken to the burger to the steak, and everything in between. The beer selection is top notch. In-house developed cocktails are creative, while the classics are on point if that’s more your speed. The chocolate cake and an espresso martini are the perfect touch to finish it all off! “No fuss, no muss low country breakfast place. Fast and friendly service. Menu is full of excellent choices for breakfast. When I'm in the mood for something savory I choose the country fried steak benedict. The flavor combinations are interesting. The portion is generous and I like to add a little kick to the gravy by adding some of the local hot sauce that they make readily available. When I want something sweet I go with the crepes with whipped cream, strawberries, and Nutella. Sure I get a solid sugar high and usually try to offset that by drinking way too much of the their French roast coffee but after all breakfast is supposed to be fun, right?“

“We've driven by Burtons a thousand times and never stopped. Then we actually moved to Mt. Pleasant and live close to the restaurant. We have become regulars there.....food is delicious, staff is friendly and service is great. Whether you sit at the bar or bring your family to the table, everything is consistent and delicious!“

“food burned. horrific service with bad attitudes. no parking at all. no bathrooms. smoke-filled place. commented on a post of theirs and this was how they replied. zero accountability and customer shaming. sir/mam, whoever you are. if you been doing this for many years, then that gives even less of an excuse to provide such poor quality food and service. you claim the locals know about you. I've been here for years and never heard your name ever mentioned once in any pizza recommendation post. Actually, never heard of you at all. EVER! Now I know why. And by the way, those paper thin slices you sell for $11 or 2 is laughable. In NYC they sold $1 slices heftier than that. One last thing. your sign on the outside states one price for your "SPECIAL" and the sign on the inside is a different price. Clearly you lack consistency and integrity with everything across the board.“
