“We love eating at Harvest Moon on our way to Edisto Beach! The home cooked food is always great! Everyone that works at Harvest Moon is always friendly and eager to please! Tonight our waitress was Hayley, and she was great! She was friendly, attentive, and personable! It was so nice to have a pleasant dining experience with such good food and wonderful service. “Well, after 25 years of visiting the Tomato Shed on a regular basis, you've finally done it. You made a meal that I didn't like. My mother in law (from Michigan) insists on going to the Tomato Shed every time they visit Charleston, which we are always happy to accommodate. This visit, I had the meatloaf. It was well prepared, others at our table thought it was great. I just didn't care for it. No, there was nothing wrong with it. Yes, it looked wonderful, and smelled amazing. I have no valid complaint about it. I just didn't care for it.

So, why am I writing this review? Because it is the first time since moving back home that I didn't absolutely love everything I've had there. Such a rarity needs to be remarked upon.

Our server was awesome (I didn't remember his name, but he was cheerful and fun), the ambience was very pleasant, as always, and the whole experience was excellent. But, for the first time ever, the Tomato Shed was not *perfect*.

“This is an amazing restaurant! The atmosphere and service is top notch and the chef is amazing. We had the pimento chitin start followed by the fried chicken with cheese Mac and collard greens and finished it off with banana pudding. “I stopped in after the lunch rush at around 2. There was no one at the front desk and no one at the bar. In fact there was no one anywhere. I stood there quite awhile before anyone sat me. Once I was seated everything was great. Honestly I do not know how they fry their shrimp so perfectly every single time. Fresh, local fried shrimp. I’ve not had better anywhere.“
