“Always my favorite lunch spot at KI! For this visit we had Cafe Eugenia make a beautiful lemon raspberry cake for my dad's 80th birthday party- it was wonderful and a huge hit at the party. Thank you so much for fitting us in to your busy Easter schedule- we will be ordering for our next occasion soon!“
“We've been here a few times. First, everything is made fresh daily from quality ingredients. You can just tell. The grilled cheese and tomato soup is really delicious. Sounds so basic but it's really not - the smoky flavor is so smooth and sweet. The chicken club is delicious and the breakfast sandwich on sourdough bread is excellent. Smash burger is very good and very hearty- two big patties. I'm happy to have this option so close to Kiawah Island. Great high quality food and super friendly service. I highly recommend you check it out for yourself. I don't think you'll be disappointed.“
“Amazing place! I had the crab cake sandwich and my husband had the fried chicken . Both are so delicious ! And the key lime cheesecake is to die for !! Also the place is super cute and staff (Maria) is such a sweat heart and amazing service . Definitely recommend !“
“What a fantastic restaurant that's been on Johns Island for a while. I have great memories of lunches and breakfasts here. The atmosphere is cozy and quaint and the staff members make everyone feel welcome. I love the farm fresh ingredients! I had the special of the day chicken sandwich and it was generous and perfectly prepared! My side was tomato pie - something they are known for. After lunch I got eggs from a local farm and coffee beans from a local roaster. This place is a true gem!“
“Scott and the whole team at Hege's were amazing on a busy St. Patricks Day weekend! We sat at a twotop in the bar area and Tiffany was our server. She was amazing and really helped make the night special. The food and drinks are always exceptional. We had the crab and shrimp cocktail and steak tartare for starters and for dinner the blackened redfish and steak frites. Hege's lives up to the Kiawah Island experience.“
“Hands down one of the best places we’ve gotten breakfast on any vacation. Everyone was so nice and the atmosphere was great, and so was the music! I had the crab cake Benedict & my husband had the country fried steak Benedict. 10/10 recommended.“
“I’m not a drinker, but I assume that part’s easy enough to get right. I was blown away by how good the cheesesteak was. A good cheesesteak sounds easy, but it isn’t most people get it completely wrong. This was a really great effort my friend really liked his salad crispy chicken. It was really delectable the french fries they nail them. Looks like they keep their menu simple do things well and price reasonably“
“Fischer's has delicious food. I LOVE the mahi tacos (it's more like a mahi quesadilla). Great wings, grilled buffalo chicken sandwich, and tenders for the kids. The atmosphere is a locals dive bar, so just know that's what you are going to experience, but after a day on the boat and swimming we don't feel uncomfortable in this establishment. I do wish they had outdoor seating. There are times in the busy vacation season the wait times have been long.“
“A nice respite from the uppity atmosphere of the area. Food’s quality is the same standard and the coffee is some of the best around. The staff are all friendly and answer any questions you have. There’s a reason locals frequently get their coffee there. I’d definitely recommend the avocado bagel sandwich.“
“I go here a good bit. Staff is always friendly and service is always great! I love when there is live music it always makes for a good time. They recently got rid of the boiled peanuts which makes me so sad because they were me and husband's favorite bar snack along with the Owl toes!“
“Had she crab soup( pretty good , uses nutmeg instead of traditional sherry)flounder and shrimp for 2 people and fried shrimp small and fried green tomatoes, crab patties for others. Tasty but the flounder was mushy. A disappointment. A bit pricey. Will return for a different selection.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp and parking“
“They have the best wings. However, tonight I ordered my usual order. Hot teriyaki. The bartender who took the call for the pick up order put in hot. I confirmed hot teriyaki twice and crispy. Wings were perfect level crispy. However 44 dollars later, I get home after a long 12 hour day of work and have hot wings. I tipped her for getting my order wrong and just taking an order by phone. Not hot teriyaki. Can someone please teach Stephanie (though well mannered and sweet) she has to repeat orders back to confirm she heard it right. Not just "I have that ma'am" ... clearly she did not. It was loud in the background as usually is in the late evening... just repeat the order back to the customer's.“
“Fun, entertaining place featured on diners, drive in and dives. We were at the original location years ago when visiting the South. Graffiti on the walls, doors and everywhere in between. I ordered the small-ish Caesar salad which was not that small for $6 and a side of pickles for $3 which also comes with pickled tomatoes. My husband ordered the moose burger which he upped it with potato fries instead of the regular side(which i forgot what it was... Fried pork skins, maybe?). I got a black widow blackberry cider and the rusty bull berry stomp wheat. My husband got the stone beer. Server was great. Didn't take long to get our food also“
