Soul Food Restaurants near Spartanburg, SC

“Mike and I make an excuse to drive from Asheville, NC to Costco in Spartanburg, SC so we can have Sunday lunch at J&G's. Mike loves their fried chicken and I love their veggies, especially their fried okra and collard greens (I'm a vegetarian and they don't cook their veggies in meat or meat products!). From our first visit a few months ago and every visit since, everyone there, especially Bobby and John, make you feel like family. Mike has cancer so it's a good feeling to see him eat so well and enjoy himself so much. And don't forget the banana pudding...delicious!!“

“Had a wonderful experience for my 65th birthday my friend had sent me roses and a cake he was unable to accompany my family and I for dinner but they were very professional and excited just like I was to get the Roses and birthday cake I would definitely recommend them not only for the food but for their Hospitality their professionalism and they're eagerness to enjoy the fun of birthdays❤️“

“it was our first visit for the buffet and there wasn't much of a variety and the food looked like it had been there awhile. then we took a bite and it all had a sour taste to it. there was also others complaining about the same sour taste. the tea even tasted old. we did get our money back. I just had we had such a horrible first visit. I pray it gets better.“
