Dakota Cowboy

Dakota cowboy is a perfect place to enjoy your meal. Ambience is too good, total cowboy theme with too many hats and related artifacts as decorations. It’s little crowded so we had to wait for nearly 10-15 mins to get a table. They also have section for shopping goods and even a photographer was present there during our visit. Great breakfast spot in Custer! Super friendly service. All the standard family breakfast favs with the option of a short stack of Belgian waffles instead of toast. Fun change up. Decor is simple with cowboy hats hanging up. There was an artist in residence with beautiful photos for sale in the gift shop area.

We ate there for 4 mornings as it was close to our hotel and the food was amazing. However, we had the same waitress all 4 days. Today, she forgot our pops, we had to ask and the pop was warm and not carbonated. The food was good but she never apologized someone else had to get us our pops, never came back to check if we needed anything more or if food was okay. We waited 15 mins for our bill and had to go up and ask. Needless to say no tip today.
