“The best pizza we have ever had. I genuinely have no idea how this place isn’t packed every night. We used to eat here frequently, but since we moved away, it’s been rare, and even in Southern California we haven’t found anything that comes close to this pizza. We still talk about this place several times a week, it is that good.Other points that are nice: prices are good, the wait isn’t ever too bad, and the owner, Donald, is an old-fashioned proprietor who actually loves talking to the customers and is a really great guy to converse with. Occasionally there’s live music, as well.“
“Very clean & modern Fazoli's with friendly prompt service. It was decently busy during our visit but that didn't stop the staff from getting our food out much faster than we expected. We came here mainly for the nostalgia since we no longer have a location close to us but honestly the freshness & deliciousness of the food reminded us of why we felt nostalgic about Fazoli's in the first place. First, don't say it's gonna be broccoli rabe on the Billie Holiday when it is really just chuncks of broccoli...not the same at all. And they screwed up the time, they told us to be there for 4:25 pick up, but wrote down 4:45 and still managed to slightly burn the cheese pizza. Probably won't go back.So I did go back! First, the owner or manager reached out to me after this review, but I had not realized it for quite some time and then I completely just did not answer it. (I apologize to that person, as it was rude). My husband is from NY so we went back but just got cheese this time. It was really good. Gave the lower service rating only because they were short staffed. They had notes on the table letting you know to come to the counter. Didn't mind doing that. “No issues with this location. Pizzas always have enough toppings. Prices are great. We even burned one once and they replaced it for us. Literally no clue what we did wrong since we've gotten dozens of their pizzas. They said someone else had called in to say the same thing. That was very nice of them to replace it. “The only reason I gave Marcos 4 stars instead of 5 for atmosphere was because there are so many take out and delivery orders going on that there's a lot of hustle and bustle happening for some who might prefer a quieter environment, but the other way to look at this is how popular their pizzas really are! If you've had a Marcos pizza you'll want to order one again and with so many options for toppings you'll find a bunch of favorites for sure. My favorite is Hawaiian and aside from the ham and pineapple, their sauce is what delivers! I never have long to wait either, regardless of how busy they are and that's always a plus. My location is the one on Sycamore but I'm sure their 57th st location is also top notch. Only good things to say about Marcos, so I hope you enjoy their pizzas and extras as much as I do and if you want it fast, fresh and ready when you arrive, you can always use their app to order early or call and place your order. 9 out of 10 it will be ready when you arrive! Or the Risotto was that much more flavorful that I didn't enjoy the Piccata as much since I tried that first.“
