“Who knew we had the BEST fried chicken in the area in our own neighborhood?!!!We ordered chicken from CC’s for the first time last evening. WOW! It was like sitting down to grandma’s Sunday dinner. It’s really that good!!!CC’s is clean and friendly with great service! They have a new, regular customer!!!“
“Did someone say pie?!? Not many restaurants serve baked pie from scratch - but Valley does - and they serve a variety every day. So, when you have a craving for some tasty comfort food - head to the Valley (and if you are too full from the meal you can always take the pie to go!). (And yes, service can be slow at times - but they are obviously doing their best during these times - be patient and treat all service workers with gratitude.)“
“We were happy to find this charming restaurant in Brookings! We liked the ambience with the pheasants, chandeliers, seating, and artwork. Coming from Wisconsin to visit out guy at SDSU, we were excited to embrace some of the edge of the west vibes and pheasant theme. The only strange aspect was that the owner’s grandson said that they were trying to incorporate Norwegian culture into the restaurant. For this reason, they don’t serve maple syrup with waffles. This was the most bazaar comment, I thought. It doesn’t work with this restaurant vibe at all. I suggest keeping Norway out of this restaurant completely and embrace the good pheasant/edge of the west/classy theme that works so well here! Mashed potatoes were instant with my waffle and would suggest real, for sure. We will be back! We’d definitely suggest this restaurant!! ❤️The Bruns gang“
“Found Cubby's as a fluke while in Brookings for work, visited on Monday for lunch and it was much busier than I expected! Sat at the bar with a very friendly bartender (didn't catch his name) and had the crab Rangoon nachos. They were amazing, I was stuffed but couldn't quit eating them and now I feel like I have a garlic cloud around me but I don't care!“
“Went here for breakfast while we were in the area. I would rank this as one of the top three best breakfasts I have ever had:) Country fried steak and hash browns, with two eggs over easy. Every part of this was cooked perfectly, the hash browns crispy, the eggs done just right. The place was very busy and small, but if I lived near Brookings, I would be a regular in this place:) the service was quick and pleasant, it was a great small town experience, we felt right at home.“
“I know my plates are empty in this photo but that’s how good their food is here! I almost never have left overs when we leave! I know it’s not in the menu (yet) but ask them about their grilled chicken sandwich it’s literally the best sandwich I’ve ever had! I hope they bring back their herb mayo, it was phenomenal!! In the meantime ask for a side of ranch, it’s still really good! Don’t forget the poutine and a cocktail or beer on tap! This is hands down one of my favorite places to eat! Everyone gets a mini cupcake so save a bit of room!“
“Omg the food here was amazing. The waitress Alivia had our drinks to us fast and was super friendly. The owner lady seemed a little off, and was a bit rude but the rest of the staff and great food made up for it!Dietary restrictions: Great option for diabetics“
