7 Best Italian Restaurants in Cookeville

“Ny daughter and I were craving Italian. We stumbled on this place. When you pull up, it doesn’t even look like a restaurant. It’s in an old Victorian house. Walking up we are very disappointed to read that it was reservations only. As we were walking away, the hostess opened the door and invited us in and made room for us to eat. It was one of the best meals and service we have ever had!“

“I ordered a large pie with 3 toppings and 20 wings, after tip the total was $70 ($63 and change before tip).

The pizza itself gets a full 5 stars, as a NYer myself, this pizza reminds me of home. Great flavor, great toppings, perfect crust, and not over sauced.

The wings get 3 stars. Could've been a lot more crispy, tho I am giving grace for the fact they self steamed in the packaging on delivery. The flavor is ok (ordered buffalo and garlic parm). Buffalo lacks the kick, but that could be my personal preference. The garlic parm were meh, seemed pretty plain, but again could be my personal preference.

Overall I'm giving 4 stars, would be 4.5 if I could, because of the pie itself.

Now price, $70 with tip is pretty normal back home for delivery pizza at this point, so I won't knock the price but just including it in review to be transparent to readers.“

“Had the worst experience of my life at Olive garden tonight turn my family at 5:00 to dinner my husband got the tour of Italy my youngest got the spaghetti and meatballs oldest daughter chicken alfredo I got chicken alfredo and my son got a mushroom scallop pasta my husband's food came cold my daughter's spaghetti and meatballs smell like feet and I ended up not getting to eat because I'm allergic to shrimp and somehow shrimp got in my chicken alfredo and my throat started swelling and getting real scratchy and we had to leave“

“Mamma Rosa’s has been a Cookeville. staple for 30 years. Family owned and operated the whole time but the important part is it’s delicious! They literally have the best calzone I’ve ever had in my life and I’ve been to Italy and New York City.“
