Went on a Saturday just to sample ice cream. Enjoyed while sitting on the deck during a light rain. Reasonable pricing and very tasty ice cream!
Visiting Mayfield Dairy Farms wasn’t even in our original travel plans, but while driving back from Pigeon Forge, we randomly spotted a sign for the farm and decided to check it out on a whim. We are so glad we did because they were incredible!
They offer a fantastic 45-minute tour where you get to learn all about the farm's history and how it has evolved over the years. Of course, the absolute highlight was the ice cream—it was so fresh and unbelievably tasty.

Mayfield Dairy is a popular stop for ice cream lovers. The Pirates Treasure and Cherry Chocolate flavors are especially tasty. Visitors can take a tour that shows how milk jugs, cartons, and ice cream containers are filled, ending with a free double-scoop ice cream cone. The gift shop offers a variety of items, and the spacious parking lot includes handicapped spaces near the door. The store and ice cream shop are wheelchair accessible, although the tour has several steps. The friendly staff are helpful and eager to give samples and answer questions. The large parking areas, including space for RVs, make it easy to visit and relax. While the location is a little farther from the interstate, it is a good place to take a break and enjoy some delicious ice cream. The tour is fun and informative for all ages, and admission is very reasonably priced. Visitors also appreciate the clean bathrooms and dog-friendly environment, making it a convenient stop between long drives.
