“The staff is friendly and accommodating. I’m always treated well and respected. The prices on beer and tobacco are 15-20% cheaper than the big name brand stores. The only draw backs would be when it gets busy parking gets a little chaotic and the gas pumps could use upgrades as they don’t take credit cards.”

“This was my wife's idea. I know, shocking that a wife can decide where to eat. LOL It was an excellent choice. We ate way more that we needed, but wanted to try multiple things on the menu. This ain't exactly what we usually eat, and wanted to hone in on what we order for future visits. I'll just get the beef soup next time, but with extra beef. It was delicious. My wife will get a steamed bun and we'll share seared pork and cabbage dumplings.”

“Love the pho and banh mi sandwich. The bone broth never disappoints and the sandwich is such a wonderful combination of flavors. Great bread, too, and I grew up in Louisiana, the home of great po boy bread! Wanted to try the ribs but they’re temporarily out so had the wings instead. Very good and the Asian bbq sauce is just right for sweet light heat.

“We moved to Brentwood from Los Angeles just over 9 years ago. The Mexican food in LA is very authentic, and we were concerned that we would not find a restaurant in Nashville that would come close. Wrong! El Sombrero is tremendous! We have dined here on numerous occasions, and every time has been great. Both the food and the service are exemplary. Do yourself a favor and experience fine Mexican cuisine.”

“I happened in last year late at night because it was what was open, and immediately saw it as welcoming. I've been back a few times, and that continues to be my main impression. The service is friendly. Bartender Hayley was very diligent in making sure everyone got their food and drink, and was doing OK socially. The bar does cater to smokers, so if you're not OK with that, you may rate it differently, but for me that issue was secondary to its may other virtues.”
