“We go on Tuesday nights for trivia. Most of the time we have to have a Reservation, even for a 4 top. When we do call, sometimes it is not written down. It's a frustrating experience at times. The food is ok. If we ask for anything special or different, it is rarely correct. But I will say, the service has been better the last few times .“
“This is my favorite quick street taco place in Columbia. You walk in and say you want some chicken OG tacos and they hook you up. You pay, go sit in your vehicle and a few minutes later they bring you your tacos. They have awesome nachos and burritos as well. Pretty much everything I've ordered there has been very good food, but the tacos have been the best.“
“On this particular evening, they had a gentleman playing a guitar and singing inside. He played everything you could think of from old school country, classic rock, Motown, new country, to some pop and R&B. The food is ALWAYS great and their drink specials are out of this world!! Especially since the bartender seems to be a little heavy handed at times?. The environment is very chill and family friendly. The food is about as authentic as you can get! Not to mention that the price range on everything is extremely budget friendly. You can feed a family of four there ranging from $30 up to $100 if ya wanted. I highly recommend Tequilas; especially if you stop off the interstate here to fill up on fuel! They're right here beside Stan's gas station!!!Kid-friendliness: It is definitely family friendly.“
“The tacos are fresh ingredients and taste so good. The chips & cheese dip are homemade so it's awesome too I always call my order in & pick it up at the drive thru on my way home from work. The young girls are friendly and nice“
“Run of the mill Mexican cuisine. The usual extra large (way too much) portions that we as Americans have become accustomed to in Mexican restaurants. I did bump them up to 4 stars for having Mexican Coke which I thought was a nice add especially for a smaller town like Columbia, TN.“
“FINALLY ON THE MAP!!! I cannot say enough good about this place. I love the food and the owners too! They are very kind and friendly folk. They're serving good quality meat that you don't always see from a food truck nor even a permanent restaurant for that matter. The flavors can't be beat. That creamy green sauce and the carnitas go together like peas and carrots. Bursting with flavor! The scald on that milanese is perfection!I have raved on this little piece of heaven since the first bite. I gifted their tamales around for Christmas and every person asked for their location. Do Not wait any longer, stop by and let these people fill your bellies!!! You won't regret it!“
“My family and I had dinner here and it was amazing. With so many Mexican options it can be hard to pick a favorite but this clearly our favorite in town so far. So far I have tried the wings, mojarra with adobo sauce, carne asada taco, fried rice, burgers and fries, chicken cheese and rice, tamales, and the menudo. All these options are wonderful. We have never had a bad meal here. The prices are decent too. This is perfect place to grab a bite. The flavor are unmatched. We certainly recommend checking them out. You will not be disappointed. The hidden gem is most definitely the fried rice and the wings!! Hands down the best.“
“The food here is always great and the portions are plenty. This is one of our regular stops. No alcohol is served at this location due to proximity to schools. Alcohol is served at the other location on Carmack Blvd.Kid-friendliness: They have child-oriented dishes.“
“I've been on the hunt for the best street tacos in town, and I think I've finally found them. This little taco stand is tucked away in a corner of the city, but it's definitely worth seeking out. The carne asada tacos are my absolute favorite. The meat is perfectly grilled and seasoned, and the tortillas are warm and soft. The birria tacos are also amazing. The meat is so tender and flavorful, and the broth is rich and delicious. But what really sets these tacos apart is the attention to detail. The tortillas are made fresh every day, and the meat is cooked to perfection. The toppings are also perfectly balanced, and the salsas are homemade and flavorful. If you're looking for the best street tacos in town, look no further. This little taco stand is sure to satisfy your cravings. I’ve been visiting here since it opened in Franklin and I am happy to see it expand!“
“I ordered the fajitas not only were they delicious but serving was huge! I ate until I was stuffed and still have more than enough for another full meal. Would be a great dish to share. I do agree with another review that the waiters seem a bit pushy like they want you in and out but still very nice and attentive. Definitely going to be going back!“
“Food was delicious, service was great, restaurant was clean, the only issue we had which is why I gave 4 out of 5 stars was bc our daughter got the kids chicken fingers and they were so burnt you couldn't cut them with a knife ot Eben pull them apart with your hands. It was not acceptable to serve this to a kid at all, not even an adult could've or would've been able to eat that. Do better next time and I'll change it to 5 out of 5 stars.“
“Food here is wonderful …. no, we mean wonderful! better than most every other mexican/hispanic fare we’ve eaten in Tennessee, Alabama, and other states in which we’ve lived or traveled. We also agreed the food here is better than the Legends restaurant across the corner (where lunch for two with beer has easily cost three times as much as at Taco Express).Service and staff here are pleasant …. no, we mean nice, friendly, courteous, and caring (a far sight better than the experience we’ve had at Legends).OK, OK, not fair to compare Taco Express and the likes of Legends you say? Well, our meal was wonderful, tasty, nearly authentic to street and comida fare in Mexico; our engagement with the staff was refreshingly polite and authentic; the atmosphere (yea, not the same as a fancy Legends, we hear you) demonstrates they care about where they work, where they engage with their customers, and where they serve their wonderful food.We categorically recommend Taco Express over any chain or franchise (national or regional) venue in Columbia.Thank you Taco Express; we truly enjoyed our meal and visit today.“
“Friendly service, fresh, and authentic cuisine. We had the buffalo chicken fries, steak breakfast burrito, and the chorizo breakfast burrito. Full of flavor, filling and delicious. We will return, and try more, next time we are in the area.“
“Large portions, and you can get extra sides if you want. Cost is always a concern, as everything is going up. Given the amount of food I got, I still felt it to be a good value. Employees were friendly and helpful. And the restaurant looks clean best I could tell. It is a block off the main road, so you're going to have to look for it just a bit.“
“Love this place stopped in after doing some Christmas shopping. This place always greet you with a smile and is eager to sit you down and fast to bring you drinks. Food was delicious Love the fresh guacamole. Waitress was constantly at our table making sure we had everything we needed and refilling our tanks. All in all atmosphere cleanliness bathrooms were clean Nice staff good food this place is awesome.“
“Our food was delicious. My husband and I ate there today. We received pur order and food quickly. It was cooked to perfection. They checked on us very often to see if we needed refills or anything else. I highly suggest eating here if you're in the area.Parking: Very easy to get to“
“High recommend. Fast attentive service. Hot food quick. And man oh man this is good. When I go to restaurants I go alone and have a hard time getting service. But not here. They took care of me and I will definitely be back. The Chef needs a raise for sure.“
“Honestly top 3 experiences I’ve ever had with fast food. Not to say I remember them all but it’s usually so bad or unremarkable that the good ones stand out. Food was ready when we hit the second window. It was a Saturday night at 9pm and the cashier was personable and on top of things.“
“I don't know how long this restaurant has been open for but I just noticed it recently and boy am I glad I did because it's literally less than 5 minutes from my house. The food is excellent my husband and son loved the chips and salsa and the prices are on point for this type of food. Portion sizes are good and everything always tastes great and it's always hot and fresh whenever I come in to pick it up. I've never eaten in the restaurant I've only ever ordered takeout but it's very very good and like I said close to my house so very convenient. I recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants typical Mexican restaurant type cuisine.Parking: The parking lot is pretty tiny and if they're busy good luck trying to find a parking spot in front of the restaurant although there is parking in the nearby strip mall it's pretty hard to find a parking spot and the parking lot is set up pretty badly so you feel like you're going to bump into the cars near you whenever you're trying to back out.“
