“By far best bbq I've ever had. Amazing. We are bbq snobs to say the least. There were 4 of us and we ordered the Butcher's Block. It was $110. WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!!! Everything was on point. I can't say enough how good everything was. Sausage and ribs are hard to get right, and they nailed everything!!!!“
“Excellent gluten free menu with all the things you've been missing! Will be our frequent favorite when visiting Johnson City! Talked to the owner/chef Jeff which was a real treat. He told us all about how his restaurant became gluten free through experimenting. He primarily used rice flour which gives the fried chicken and waffles a light and crispy yumminess. The chicken was delicious and paired with the waffles and a spicy maple syrup with bacon was a tasty delight. Lots of options including gluten free biscuits which we will be coming back for! Fried pickles, delicious crunchy sweet potato fries and grilled tenders were also served for a gluten and dairy free plate. Yum yum yum. Gluten free or not come visit Voodoo Chicken!!!“

“First off, this is a little Mom and Pop greasy spoon restaurant... And that is both a very good thing, and a not so good thing...It was a little bit grungy, maybe not as clean as you would like... But that is something that you get from these kind of places... And that's kind of part of the ambiance of places like thisWe went for the fried Catfish... My wife and Father in law LOVED it... I tried it and it was probably the best fried Catfish I have ever had... It was THAT good. That being said, I had ordered the grilled chicken breast, and the cook messed up my order. Everyone else had finished their food by the time I got my order.. BUT, again, the food was excellent..Another drawback, the cook was the only one who could run the register, so we had to wait to pay for our meals.Overall, almost exactly what you could expect from a place like this... Wonderful food... But with a few drawbacks otherwise.“
