Handel's Homemade Ice Cream started in Youngstown Ohio, now franchised nationally. The Franklin store is new. Plenty of flavors, like a local Ben and Jerry’s. The best ice cream ever, with hearty ice cream and lots of goodies. Stiky Fingers is a good flavor. Cookies n cream did not skimp on the oreos, a cookie in every bite. Sizes are enormous: a small is 2 ½ scoops, regular is 4, and large is 5 scoops. It is definitely fresh. There is a nice seating area outside with wobbling chairs for kids. Best ice cream there is, with very friendly staff. One reviewer noted that a small is not much, and there was a wait with only one window open. Handels is better than Jeni's.
