“We had a great time! Jonathan was very helpful and gave us great service. We ate around 8pm, and enjoyed our food a lot. A minor note is that we wished there was a little more ice cream with the brownie, but that’s just a personal preference!

I also wanted to advise against ordering the raw oysters. While they smelled and tasted fine when we were having them, I experienced extreme vomiting around 4 hours later. I strongly advise not ordering them, though the rest of the service was great.“

My steak was sheer perfection! I will forever remember that steak. I've been to numerous steakhouses in Memphis and a couple in Mississippi, and none of them compare to what Char served. Seasoned and cooked with love and skill! The creamed spinach and crab cake were equally delicious. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his entree as well. The ambiance for me was too dark, though. We ended up putting our little table lamp in the center and closer to us so we could see without straining our eyes. Service was great, too. Very sweet waitress.“
