“We popped in for lunch on our way to the Lost Sea on a road trip, and honestly it was maybe the best meal we had on our whole 8 day vacation. I got the catfish small plate (comes with fries and hush puppies), my wife got a shrimp po boy with fried okra, our son got the brisket cheese with onion rings.
Let's start with the catfish - super clean, flaky, fresh. The batter wasn't too heavy and didn't overwhelm the fish. I've only had catfish a few times but this was certainly my favorite.
The shrimp had excellent, light breading and was perfectly cooked. The fried okra - well, I find okra just OKAY usually, but I was obsessed with this fried okra. Addictive and delicious.
The star, though, was the brisket grilled cheese, which seemed to have 100 pounds of perfectly cooked, tender meat on there. A feast that we all shared and still had some to take home.
Despite all the fried stuff, we didn't feel like crap after and were ready to hike in the caverns. I don't know what they use for batter but it's out of this world.
Our server was super friendly and handled my wife's allergy well. I could tell it's a real local's place and I'm jealous of the people who get to come here often. The price points are straight out of 2010 - I didn't see a check that low through the rest of our vacation.
If we're ever back in the area, this is our first stop for sure.”

“Our group of 7 people stayed at Dragon City June 13th-15th and let me tell you, we were impressed with this gem of a biker resort!!! The hotel rooms were very comfortable, clean, and the decor was perfect!!! We arrived as the restaurant was closing but they greeted us and said they would keep it open so we could enjoy dinner after a long day of traveling through on and off rain. The food was delicious, especially the Philly steak sandwich! We originally heard about this place from Adam Sandoval on Motorcycle Destinations. He was absolutely right about this being a great place to stay! We will most definitely stay here again when we return to ride the Tail of the Dragon and all of the other great roads in the area! I highly recommend Dragon City with 5 out of 5 stars!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“We went Saturday 1/16/26 at 530pm and the place was packed! Rene was the only server there! Even though it took a very long time to get our pizza she was friendly and kept our drinks full while we waited and also gave us chips while we waited. “We were driving through Lenoir City at lunch time and spotted this place. After reading a couple of the reviews, we decided to give it a try. We definitely recommend it. There are only a few tables, but they provide table service, with the rest of the space operating as a full service Mexican store. Fresh chips with salsa, red and green chile (like we get in Santa Fe), chopped onions, and cilantro are provided when you sit down. All are fresh and the sauces have decent "heat." We each ordered one of the egg offerings, but my Huevos Rancheros was the winner. It was accompanied by white beans, rice, a slice of avocado, and cheese. Give it a try.”
