Tbh the food is nothing to write home about, but there is no better way to spend a nice evening than outdoor seating, watching the sunset over the lake and (not) feeding the ducks with friends and family! The chips and queso are great and I do recommend! You can also enjoy watching football games inside on tv when it's cooler weather (and I assume other sports).
It's so nice having this gem here out of the way of the busier parts of town! Also my husband is very gluten sensitive and they have never made him sick! Very few places can claim that! If the food tasted better we'd eat here every day!”

There was a customer whose online order never came through, who was understandably upset, but was taking it out on these young men. They handled it with compassion and patience. “Since its opening, The Local Goat has been the go-to overnight stop on our I-75 North/South trek. Initially this was because the restaurant was next to our hotel, but now we stop because of the great food. Today, I want to give a loud SHOUT OUT to our waitress, Skylar. She reflects good service and compliments the excellent food of The Local Goat experience. Sky engaged in a friendly conversation with a very sweet, personal touch; we will remember to ask for her on our next stop!”

“This is exactly what I wanted! Brisket that is cooked perfectly without excessive greasiness and tender good. Tried the smoke bologna and that stuff is good too! The collard greens are excellent with a hint of heat. The Mac n’ Cheese is incredible too. This was a great meal at a good price. We will come back when we are in town.”

“Took all 3 of my dogs in to get bathed today and it was well worth it! Employees were so helpful while I took all 3 in. They let me know they don't mind the husky fussing while he gets her bath (she hates it). They let me take my time with all 3 dogs and provided extra towels. Now I have 3 fantastic smelling dogs. Will definitely be back!”
