Tbh the food is nothing to write home about, but there is no better way to spend a nice evening than outdoor seating, watching the sunset over the lake and (not) feeding the ducks with friends and family! The chips and queso are great and I do recommend! You can also enjoy watching football games inside on tv when it's cooler weather (and I assume other sports).
It's so nice having this gem here out of the way of the busier parts of town! Also my husband is very gluten sensitive and they have never made him sick! Very few places can claim that! If the food tasted better we'd eat here every day!“

We ate at OBC in Nashville their sister restaurant and suggested Malones and gave us a $25 off card. Could only eat half the salad and bread but they made a new one of each to take home. “We love this restuarant and it’s our go-to place for every milestone moments but this review is about a bad experience we had today with our lunch order. We ordered a take out for my husband’s birthday and when we came back home we found one entree is missing. On calling back the restaurant , we explained in details what’s missing and requested them to keep the item ready as we wanted to eat together as a family before everything becomes cold. However when my husband reached the restaurant he was told that they didn’t believe us and then the server went to talk to the chef. After that she was convinced that the issue was on their side and took another 20 mins to give the food. This is outrageous and honestly feels borderline racist. She could’ve checked with the chef before we went back. We love this restaurant but this has left a very bad impression on us“

Regardless of time of day or weather, they are always happy, friendly and accommodating. As for the company I will forever be loyal. On one particular visit, I wanted to try another coffee flavor but was skeptical, they offered me a small coffee at NO CHARGE!! It is now my favorite, and I get one every morning!! And yesterday, their system was down and they were only taking gift cards and cash. I was told if I didn't have either, they would give me a small coffee FREE!!!! This company and their staff have forever have a loyal customer in me!! Thank you Hixson!!!!“

“Stopped for lunch. Our waiter was Curtis. He was excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. He’s an asset to your location. Food was good but not excellent. Both of us got tacos - grilled fish, and steak. The steak tacos were full of flavor but way over-garnished to the point that that sauce was overpowering. They were drenched - ended up eating them with a fork and removing lots of the sauce, etc. Fries and tots were good.“

When we reached out to Chef Ashford, he offered to cook for us in our AirBnb as the restaurant was not ready yet. What a wonderful dinner. We had an excellent chef’s table meal in our own “home”! Chef Ashford was very personable and we enjoyed sharing our stories. And despite the small size of the kitchen, he made it happen. Thanks again Chef Ashford! See you next time!“

I had the everything bagel with turkey, spinach, pesto, and tomatoes (yes i took a bite before taking the picture) with their spring coffee option of lavender and coconut latte. Wife had the tofu bowl that was amazing with a turmeric and ginger latte. As a person who doesnt prefer tofu, it was very good. The avocado and peppers added the flavor tofu sometimes might lack.
