Best day food in the area. Try a peanut butter and chocolate shake.
The original Pal's! Its nostalgic, clean and busy! The employees are reliable, fast, professional and polite! Definitely check this place out!
Quite unique find otw through Kingsport. And reading about the history of Pals was really cool. The food and service was excellent for a fast food provider. Definitely would prefer this over the other competitors. I took a photo of one of the three Pals we saw and got a really great shot to share 🥰

Based on the reviews, Pal's Sudden Service in downtown Kingsport is the original location known for its fast, polite, and clean service. The staff is friendly and greets customers with a smile. The food is delicious and absolutely incredible, with one reviewer calling the burger the top spot for fast casual burgers, way better than five guys. Customers must specifically say they want a cheeseburger. The chocolate shakes are some of the best, and only the walk-in serves peanut butter shakes. For breakfast, be sure to get the cheddar rounds. The atmosphere evokes a nostalgic feeling of simpler times, with a great covered picnic area with restrooms and a Pal's mural. However, the downtown factories can produce stinky smells while eating. This location does not have a drive thru. The A/C is like bliss walking in on a muggy day. Overall, it is a fun visit and a drive up burger stand with great food and outdoor seating that just doesn't get any better.
