For me I usually take some home.Fresh cut fries (or chips, not bagged) plenty enough to fill you up.Terrific lunch specials ($5.99 and $7.99). A good variety and again plenty to fill you up.The two hot dogs and fries, and the 1/2 sandwich and soup are my favorites.Nice mellow atmosphere, plenty of room, not too noisy and wheel hair access. Biggest issue is parking, but that is a issue for all downtown. Just avoid driving downtown at high lunchtime hour, hour and a half, and you won't have a problem.Definitely worth a visit, oh yeah. “It was great stopping by the original pals and the service was sudden and friendly as well as it just being the best fast food hands down. Ive ate at many pals drive throughs and its all been great sudden service with the best fast food and the original pals walking in was just remarkable. I have to mention the staff was very professional and very hard workers with an employee outside sweeping the area and taking care of things outside as well as carrying out business professionally on the inside.“

“If you like a good salad, do yourself a favor and check out their smokehouse chicken salad. It comes with craisins, almond slivers, and fantastic mixed greens. Not that flavorless iceberg lettuce so many places give you. The chicken is also full of smoky flavor.It's my go-to every time I eat there! Definitely one of the best salads you're gonna get in Kingsport!“
“For my first ever visit to this establishment I have to say I’m beyond impressed with the food service and atmosphere. Don’t be fooled when pulling up to this place. It’s some of the best BBQ you will have. I live in Kentucky and I will be making trips specifically for this restaurant alone.“
“What an awesome find! We were on our way back to Georgia and stopped here to try something different. We got there and it was drive thru only and the line was LONG so we almost gave up. I am very glad that we stayed. The line was very fast moving and the food was worth the wait. I had the chili burger and it was awesome. My wife had the chili dog and was awesome too. All of our kids loved it! If we are ever in Bristol again, this will be a must!“
“Food was absolutely delicious. They have a terrific cheeseburger. Perfectly cooked and juicy. The buns are toasted, soft and warm. The fries were perfectly seasoned too. I was pleasantly surprised. We went here at 9 pm on a Saturday night. The place is filled with regulars who were all playing pool on the 5 tables. The waitress was so nice.“
“When you want the best fries, truly home made burgers not processed with whatever they put in them nowadays, and amazing service this is the best place to go. I can't deny how amazing the manager and staff always are. And if anything is ever wrong they don't only fix it but they help you remember a time when true customer service existed and customers felt like family. Especially regulars. Always a recommend. “Ok Im going to start by saying it what is bugging me.....Where is the signage for the "Thought of the day"? That needs to go up b/c that is a part of Pal's and if you start taking things out where does it stop. Now Pals has good food no matter which Pals you go to but this Pals has an issue and it seems to come from young staff. I eat at this one alot and they seem more worried about talking about school then talking with customers and getting orders right. Now I am all about having a good atmosphere at work but you have to balance good food and good atmosphere. Now we can also talk about that awful turn at the top of the hill but that poor driveway has had enough work done Ill leave that alone lol!!“

These other restaurants need to take a note!!BRAVO PAL'S & ALL EMPLOYEES!...Except the few and far between unfriendly faces at the window that look like someone pulled them in there to work off the street, and forgot that THEY actually applied for that job...?THOSE unfriendly faces need to be elsewhere, other than working with the direct faces of public.I understand that all of us have a bad day here and there, but you leave home at home, and work at work. “I came back to edit this review from a 4 to a 5 star. Lately I have been going to other places that serve hamburgers and fries and they may be good, but Sloopy's has one of the best cheeseburgers around and for a decent price. Try that new chicken restaurants burger and fries that just moved to memorial Blvd. and let me know the difference. Sloopy's has crinkle cut fries and all of the food is worth trying. The manager is beyond awesome and very helpful. Give it a try. Service is a 5, food is a 5 and atmosphere is also a 5.Parking: Parking is good. Easy in and out.“
“It's fast food. It's local. And it's open till 12 AM unlike most places. What more can you ask for in a Fast Food place. Especially one you don't even have to leave your car for? The food is of good quality and the staff is particularly friendly. A win win wouldn't you say?The workers here are REALLY good at getting to know the regulars. I should know. “When it comes to food establishments, I'll tell you what I like. Kind, generous, fun loving individuals. I walked in dressed like the King today. I was massively overheating from walking all the way from Allendale Falls. Of course the staff immediately indulges in the fact I'm dressed like a King... in a Burger King... In Kingsport. So I go to get me a cup of water, and realizing how overheated I must be, they gave me a free medium sized cup on the house. Now that is good customer service. I never asked for a freebie, but they gave me one. I greatly appreciated it. And now, here's my way of expressing my gratitude.“
“This Hardee’s is one of the best around! Their breakfast is consistently good and reminds me of the way Hardee’s was when I was a child. So many of them have gone downhill but this location seems to have it together. The line, although long in the mornings, moves quickly and the people are friendly. Kudos to the staff in this location!“
