“Best experience at a restaurant in Tennessee hands down! Ask for Nolan! He’s a great kid with a kind heart and personality and will make your visit enjoyable! We had a great time, he was very accommodating and the food was exquisite! The pizza was so good! Salad and Tzatziki chicken was incredible! Drinks were good and they bring olives to the table to start if you like olives they are good! “This was my first visit. The menu isn't crazy large but there are plenty of good options. I got the shrimp and grits and was blown away. The shrimp was in a crazy good sauce and was over the creamiest grits ever. I'll definitely be back!“

“I loved the place and environment. We haven’t had the luxury of dining in yet but had heard about it from some friends. This led us to stopping in and buying some of the meat they had to offer. The friendly staff talked with me my wife and even my four year old as if we were long time friends. After buying some of the dry aged tomahawks and wagyu strips at amazing prices we quickly decided we would be back soon to dine in! I am looking forward to it! “We just celebrated our anniversary here and we were absolutely blown away. The atmosphere was so cool and cozy. The service was excellent from start to finish… from the man that seated us to Maddie, our server who was very attentive and friendly! The food was phenomenal! So fresh and full of flavor! Very unique and nourishing. We started with whipped feta & pita. So flavorful! Then we had the lamb neck which was out of our comfort zone but I’m so glad we got it because it was amazing! Then we had the beef short ribs and a spicy potato dish. We finished off the night with the special crème brûlée infused with dates and Turkish coffee plus the olive oil cake. The drinks were very fresh and unique as well. I couldn’t recommend this place more. The chef and owner should be very proud!“

“This was our first time here. We came right at opening so it wasn't busy at all. I got the Miso ramen and let me tell you...that hit the spot. The Karaage was not bad. Not the best I've had but didn't exceed any expectations. We sat in the front but they had a lounge in the back where you could order drinks as well. I would definitely come back to sit back there. “Amazing! Where do I even begin! The atmosphere reminiscent of a steak house I loved called Starks in Northern California. You smell the smokey wood fire smell with none of the downside. Air is clear and fresh. Kitchen is visible from most the restaraunt. Server Robbie was truly a server. He gave great suggestions and was very attentive. On his suggestion I tried the whipped feta appetizer which came with fresh made pita. I love feta but this was a whole new level with honey in the center. My husband ordered buttermilk fried chicken. It was tender and juicy on inside and nice crispy on the outside. Entrees are A la carte. I ordered the charred gem lettuce and wood oven roasted fingerling sweet potatoes. Hubbie shared all my sides and tried some of his chicken. Perfect meal! Then we ordered dessert. Because really that's why we came. My coworker raved about their tres leches cake. And it was topped with fresh whipped cream not from a can.hand whipped. Yummy. We will be back. So satisfied. Definitely fine dining but not snobby and dress as you like.“

“The drinks were good, interesting vibe. We just stopped in for a drink while we went to dinner. If I was still in my early 20s, staying out late, I’d be uncomfortable with the bathroom situation. There’s a shared sink area . It was slow when I went so it was fine, but seems bound for some uncomfortable situations there. I don’t want to share a bathroom with men, especially at a bar.“

“My husband and I were visiting Chattanooga and ended up here one night. Fantastic decor, ambiance, service and drinks. We went during the week and it was quiet, nice to sit and chat. Love the couches and chairs, nice and comfy! The bartender apologized because their speakers were out, and music was playing, just not loudly. Maybe it's normally louder.“

“Hello Monty has good food. It is not family friendly, however. We went here to eat for my first Mother’s Day and none of the multiple restrooms had a changing table. We asked management to confirm to make sure we hadn’t overlooked one. We had to walk down the street to our car to change the baby during the middle of our meal. Please add changing tables to your restrooms. It’s very frustrating to be in the middle of a good meal and then have to walk down the street to change your baby’s diaper.“

“Of the food places we have visited on our trip here this one has given us the best flavor. We both got the cheese burger animal style and they were absolutely BANGING!! 10 out of 10 recommended. We also both got the garlic Parmesan fries. Mine were incredible. The flavors were intense but worth it. So good. My partners were really heavy handed with the garlic but I finished them for him lol. If you are a vampire or don’t like intense flavor be warned. Otherwise this is the place to eat in Chattanooga.“

“This is a tastefully decorated Japanese restaurant. I heard they had vegan options. We had a gluten free person in our party. They had a gluten free menu available upon request. I ordered asking for the mushroom skewer, vegan sushi and vegan ramen. The waitress knew what I was asking for. Everything was really good. The ramen was flavorful without being spicy, salty or bland. I added tofu and it was two squares of crispiness. I enjoyed it. The service was great.“

“Good pizza with lots of options. We ordered take out and got the pesto presto, without red onion, and it was good. Chicken not too dried out, crust baked well. The Greek salad was fresh and a good serving size, but I would have preferred more salad dressing. The cinnaboiz were a little empty and crispy, but I guess I was expecting something more like donut holes. The restaurant was big and loud, but had a lot of servers and everyone was helpful.“

We were given option of a two seater right between the only two occupied tables in the dining room or a two seater against the wall near the restrooms. Given it was early I thought maybe the 4 seaters were all booked but at end of night they were still fairly empty when we left.“

“It is a great neighborhood hangout and sports bar! We arrived at 7:30 pm, and the place was still packed. One of the staff saw us walking in and got a table with 4 chairs ready. It is March Madness, and Tennessee was playing tonight, so it was a loud and jovial crowd. Our waitress did a great job getting us our food and drinks quickly. Guests can order at the bar or have a staff member wait on them. There are only a couple of staff who actually wait tables, so it is incredible that they can keep up! Our food was absolutely delicious! I had The Faith, which is a 6 ounce chicken breast that is battered and fried. The sandwich has lettuce, tomato, American cheese, bacon, and wing sauce. It was tasty, juicy, and big! I was thoroughly impressed! I had a mixed drink, which was strong and good. The rest had a beer recommended by our waitress. They really enjoyed the choice. “This place changed my taco outlook of this city. I ordered 3 different tacos, and a passionfruit margarita. I had a carnita taco, a PIZZA (yes, you read that right) taco, and a spicy brisket taco. All three tacos had their own vibes going HARD. I was told I'd have leftovers. I do not. EAT THESE TACOS, CHATTANOOGA PLEASE. 5 stars.“

“This was my first time dining at Scottie's on the River. Upon being seated, I was in awe of the beautiful view of the river! The patio area had such a nice view with a really cool vibe going on with all of the fishing related decorations hanging up everywhere. For drinks, I ordered the Blueberry Ginger Mojito which was really good and my boyfriend ordered the Old Fashioned with Bacon. The Bacon looked pretty soggy and left some fatty residue in the drink (I don't drink bacon old fashions so idk if it was supposed to be like that, but didn't look appetizing). For appetizers, we ordered the Calamari which was honestly pretty bland, so we asked for the firecracker sauce which made it taste a lot better. We didn't finish it all because after the calamari cooled down, it became increasingly greasy . I ordered the swordfish special and it was delicious. Super rich sauce going on. My boyfriend ordered the crispy sole which was also very good. Our server was a little strange, started off pretty personable and then seemed to become more standoffish. Maybe she was just stressed out or something. Overall, the entrees were great, the calamari was just okay. I definitely would like to come again to try some of the other items on the menu.“

“This is the best Mexican food I've ever had, from here to Texas. Everything is so fresh and full of unique flavor. Their chips and salsa are one of a kind. This is not your average Mexican Restaurant. I suggest the Birria, Street Tacos, or Mexican Tacos, but whatever you choose, you will love. I tried something new today (steak Taco Salad) & it was phenomenal! The Salsa Diablo is a great addition to any meal if you're into spicy food. “A quick edit: Chris, from the Tap House wrote one of the best responses to my review I have ever seen. He was not defensive. I added a star.Cold and a bit depressing inside with a server who is not knowledgeable about the beers.Why three stars?1. I’m sure this place is packed and lively in the evening, but I came in on Friday around 1 PM, and it was really empty and cold. I know that this is an older building with high ceilings and glass windows, but it was freezing. I probably should’ve just left, but I thought once I had a beer and some food in me, I would warm up. I did not. It was really chilly the entire time.2. I will say my server was initially attentive. She was very nice. But it was only me and two other tables…the entire time. And she just didn’t appear again except to bring the food. The place had only three seated tables out of several, and two people working, thus, the server should’ve been much more present. (See the photo I took of no one behind the bar). Later, I saw the two servers way off to the side, talking to each other, behind the bar. But if you’re looking to catch a server’s eye to refill water or anything else, it’s really awkward when you have to go up and start looking around for her. At a minimum, I should not have to be flagging her down, very, very minimum she should at least be visible somewhere in the restaurant so that if I do have to walk around, I can find her.She asked me what I wanted to drink, and then disappeared, did not offer much advice on the beer at all, even though I told her I was from Asheville (a big beer town) and I asked if she had any High gravity, and she said,“just scan the QR code.” I told her what type of beer I liked, and I asked for suggestions, and again she said, “Scan it and you’ll see a list.” She wasn’t offering any advice on any beers and I found it really unusual in a bar that is so beer focused…And so empty. It’s not as if she had to rush off to a bunch of other tables. I really expect my bartenders/servers (at a place known for beers) to say “this has some undertones of this” or “this one’s a little grassy“ or “this is a nice hoppy IPA, but it’s a bit cloudy.“ But she wanted me to do my own research and just told me to scan the QR code. Again, with no one here, she could’ve walked me through some of the beers. Since I did not have any recommendations, I thought I would have a flight, and even then, when I was saying, “what about this one?” she told me to write down the numbers. Maybe I’m spoiled from living in Asheville, but I am really accustomed to the bartenders telling me the details about the beers when I ask a question. And this is a place that… does… Beers. I just really expected to have a conversation about it, and that’s one of the reasons I came in. The server seem to know absolutely nothing about the offerings.3. Terrible Wi-Fi. It is free Wi-Fi, but the entire time I had less than one bar. It made it tricky, because I needed to contact a couple of people and get a few things done, but it was really really bad Wi-Fi. I know this is not a business or a café or people that come to get the work done, but hopefully with the Wi-Fi you should have at least two bars.4. Food. Here is the real reason for three stars. I really did not enjoy the food. I would never give a three star review to a place just because the Wi-Fi was spotty and it was cold. Or even if the server was not knowledgeable. But the food was really disappointing. I ordered the boneless wings, and the barbecue sauce that covered them seemed rather generic, and they felt a bit soggy and they were cold! The blue cheese was runny and not chunky and they were $20! For a pound basket. I ordered a pound so I could have some to take home. And I really wish I had only ordered a half a pound. They just weren’t good. I’ve had boneless wings all over the place, and these tasted like something that you would get that were frozen and then thawed out and just slathered in some sauce. The sauce was too heavy, the wings were not crispy and good. The sauce weighed them down.“
