Sure, Rendezvous gets a lot of attention as the tourist spot, and The BBQ Shop is a solid second place, but when it comes to pure flavor and consistency, Central BBQ stands at the top.
Everything here is done right, and the quality speaks for itself. If you want the best barbecue in Memphis and accept no substitutions, Central BBQ is it.

Today was my first time to eat here and the food was delicious!! But I absolutely have to commend the staff! From the counter help, the person that served our food and the person cleaning tables this had to be one of the friendliest services that I have experienced in years❤️❤️❤️
Craig and Roger revived my favorite BBQ spot! We love the new building and the great staff! I’ve been faithful to Central throughout the years and will continue to bring friends and family with me for this great food!
(I would not be a TRUE Memphis Tiger Fan unless I complained about something 😁). Please switch back to the type of onion rings that you served in the past years. The new ones have no taste and texture is off.
