Jack Pirtle's Chicken is a Memphis must-have, serving good chicken, including gizzards and sandwiches. The chicken is crunchy, with gravy and lots of seasoning, but may be too salty for some. The wings are amazing, and the burger is one of the best. The steak sandwich with slaw and gravy is worth risking your life over. Fried chicken livers and chicken that’s all worth risking your life over are also available. The sweet wings are excellent, a mustard sauce and incredible, you get an entire wing. Fried chickens were delicious and crispy. Sides of French fries and mashed potatoes were all good including the biscuits and gravy. Best sweet iced tea as well. Service can be average, but the young man serving through the window was very respectful and they got their order quickly.
