“Since its opening, The Local Goat has been the go-to overnight stop on our I-75 North/South trek. Initially this was because the restaurant was next to our hotel, but now we stop because of the great food. Today, I want to give a loud SHOUT OUT to our waitress, Skylar. She reflects good service and compliments the excellent food of The Local Goat experience. Sky engaged in a friendly conversation with a very sweet, personal touch; we will remember to ask for her on our next stop!“

Only thing that was quite irritating was the birthday bongos that were played right behind two combat vets heads and wasn't very pleasant for us. We weren't mad at the service or the people they were just doing their jobs, it was the twisted loud sounds that were upsetting to us is all. Minus that, great time, great food can't wait for another adventure.“

“Four Italians visiting from out of town. We made reservations and had an excellent night. The food was outstanding, we ordered multiple appetizers, multiple dinners, and desserts and shared. “We love this restuarant and it’s our go-to place for every milestone moments but this review is about a bad experience we had today with our lunch order. We ordered a take out for my husband’s birthday and when we came back home we found one entree is missing. On calling back the restaurant , we explained in details what’s missing and requested them to keep the item ready as we wanted to eat together as a family before everything becomes cold. However when my husband reached the restaurant he was told that they didn’t believe us and then the server went to talk to the chef. After that she was convinced that the issue was on their side and took another 20 mins to give the food. This is outrageous and honestly feels borderline racist. She could’ve checked with the chef before we went back. We love this restaurant but this has left a very bad impression on us“

“From the time I walked in the door it was an amazing atmosphere! Very elegant and peaceful inside. The host, waiter, and I believe it was a male manager walking the floor but they were all friendly and polite! The cook was amazingggg!!!! I got the trio special- soup, entree, and a dessert. Let me tell y'all whoever made my meal made it to PERFECTION! This was my first time but definitely not my last time eating here. Oh, my drinks were also good! “This is not a large place, but there is a small setting area. Don't let that deter you, the food, staff and portions are awesome. Many fresh vegetables and delicious rice. We were traveling, and met some friends there. They live in the area and had never been there. They thanked us for finding them a new place.“

“We used to go to the one in Ooltewah, it was our go to place when we was out of ideas, or we wanted cheap food quality Mexican food. This was our first time at the one in East Ridge and it didn't disappoint! The food was the same super quality as we know it from Ooltewah and the service was the same great service. We will be back again and again.! You guys Rock!!!!“

“I’m a very picky eater and when a friend suggested my husband and I eat at Haven’s with him we agreed. My husband had meatloaf, okra, cabbage with a corn muffin and I had the fried chicken wings, mashed potatoes, black eyed peas with a corn muffin. Every single thing we ate was the best we have ever tasted!! I couldn’t believe it. Our friend ordered the pork chops and could only eat one so my husband got to eat the other one. Seriously, it was hard to leave there with out ordering two or three meals to go. Since we live in Cleveland Haven's will see us at LEAST once a week. The girls there are precious and the food is cooked after you order. Such a Fantastic place!!!“

“My family has been coming here for decades and I went to school and church with several Ankars at OLPH and NDHS. I went to the Brainerd location today (my favorite). Unfortunately today’s experience was not great (but there’s no way I’m giving an “I do not recommend”). We ordered 3 hoagies. The bread usually comes out warm and soft (and we usually buy a bag to take back to Oklahoma with us). Today’s bread was not warm, chewy, and a bit tough. The onion rings were cooked unevenly with one basket being very light in color and the other 2 being much darker. Idk how many Ankars work at this location, but I did not see anyone. I hope the legacy is not coming to a close. I still wanted to get a t-shirt before leaving. The girl at the counter was confused by my request and got someone else who had to get a 3rd person to locate the shirts. The size he brought out was M and I wanted L. Had to wait while he checked and there were no Ls. This took about 7 minutes from start to finish. No apologies or offers to order one. I’ll be back to Ankar’s next time I’m in town. Just not this location. I hope that things improve there. Ankar’s was a gem not too long ago and it would be a shame to lose this Chattanooga landmark.“

“We ordered delivery, so I can’t comment on ambiance. However, the food was excellent and the portions generous. I had the eggplant parmigiana. There were layers of thinly sliced eggplant lightly breaded and so tender. Some of the best I’ve had. Husband had the gyro which was seasoned really well. Would definitely recommend.“

“We’ve eaten at Drakes, Chattanooga, since it’s opening and never been disappointed until today when a customer brought a dog inside to the inside “patio” seated at the table next to us. The dog was hyper and the man kept scratching it. Next a female joined him and began scratching the dog. The waiter reached down and also scratched the dog. Next time the waiter came by, the dog jumped up on her and again she scratched the dog. We asked to move inside to an empty booth. After we moved the man brought in another dog. Why were dogs allowed in the restaurant? They were NOT service dogs.“
