The Front Porch Cafe Reviews
Solid theme park food. Whatever architect decided one stall in the women's room is enough is ... misguided
The restaurant offers a clean environment, delicious food, and friendly staff. It’s conveniently located near the entrance.
My husband and I had a lovely lunch at this quaint little café in Dollywood. We came early so there was no wait, but I hear that the lines can get long. Better to reserve a table or arrive early!
It was quiet and our waitress was lovely. We got a Butterfly Pretzel for our appetizer, which came with scrumptious queso cheese. The pretzel came in a cute butterfly shape and was hot, fluffy and delicious!

The Front Porch Cafe offers a mixed dining experience with highlights such as the "Kitchen Sink" style burgers, which some guests describe as having a "perfect blend of flavors." The "special" chicken and dumplings, however, have received criticism for lacking chicken. The service is typically "top notch," although there have been some issues with communication between the kitchen and management. Guests have mentioned that the restaurant has a limited selection of gluten-free options, which disappointed some visitors. Despite occasional long waits, the cafe remains a decent dining choice for season pass holders and park visitors.
The food is often praised for its quality, with standout dishes like the shrimp andouille and cheesy grits, pulled pork stew, and chicken fingers. Recently, guests have enjoyed the burger and chicken sandwich, appreciating the choice of sides, including side salads and fresh potato chips. However, there have been concerns about the Fried Green Tomato appetizer, which some find overpriced for the quantity served. The decor and overall theme could be more engaging for a theme park setting, but the friendly service and delicious meals contribute to the cafe's popularity among guests.
