“Great! I had pork BBQ tray, collard greens and BBQ beans. Everything was excellent. I tried just a little of the vinegar bbq sauce base because not usually my favorite but it was very good. I used the traditional sweet southern style sauce and it was my favorite. My husband had a brisket burger and loved it! Also the smoked Mac and cheese and cornbread pudding (think that is what they called it) very very good as well. We enjoyed banana pudding for dessert! We highly recommend!!“

“Great place to eat. Very caring people to work for. When busy they don't care one bit to jump in were needed. I can say out of all the jobs I've had in my life I don't dread going into work. I'm always anywhere from 20 to 15 mins early. I don't care to stay over. Very positive place to work as well. Everyone works together and always encourage each other.“

“We recently tried the bbq, baked beans, and dry rubbed chicken wings. Everything was so good! I told my husband I’m never making baked beans again because we can just get them from J’s! Absolutely delicious.“
“Food was amazing. Chicken cooked and seasoned perfectly. I told them it was my first time and they gave us samples of the sweet tea to make sure we liked it and complimentary banana pudding. This was a great place with the nicest people around“

“From the hostess, to service, food, and drinks it was a fantastic dinner! We truly enjoyed our experience with our 4 kids! We had the nachos, burgers, wings, caesar salads, and mac and cheese and everything was so delicious! The manager was wonderful as well. We will be back!“

“We had attended a concert at ETSU and looked for a place for late eats. Well this Smokey Bones location was busy and we found this location to be fabulous. All our food was excellent. The three pretzel app was so good. I had a side salad and thoroughly enjoyed it. The barbecue sandwich with sweet potato frys was deliscious. The grilled cheese with barbecue was amazingly good with a side of deliscious Mac and cheese. All the food was spot on. The real beauty of our late night meal was definitely Simone. She was doing it all. What an amazing personality. Simone made our visit a highlight to our great night. We would go back to eat here again to see Simone. Hope she gets recognized for her brilliance. Thank you Simone for your beautiful personality.“

“We waited in the bar for an hour while waiting on our table with was ok. The bartender best described as dazed and confused was on the struggle bus. Another employee gave us bread and she tried to take it and give it to someone else. The employee said I just asked if they wanted that and they said yes. Bartender was flustered and walked off. When she came back she said would you like another drink? My reply was, what I would really like is a napkin and silverware to slice and eat this bread. Ugh. Luckily our table was ready by that time within 30 minutes. The service at the table improved and food was great.“

“Jean was absolutely fantastic! She was so sweet and took our order quickly. Our drinks were never empty and food was incredible! This is how service is supposed to be I don't think we have ever had a better server. We will be back. Great service, great food great prices!“

“A bit out of the way but worth the trip! Food is great, portions are large and the price is very fair!
Vegetarian options: It's a BBQ place... But they do have a salad bar.
Parking: Ample seating. Might be a bit crowded at peak times.“
