“I visited this Buddhist-run restaurant over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised. Knowing it was operated by Buddhists gave me confidence that it would be vegetarian-friendly—and it absolutely was. Although the menu includes familiar terms like “chicken” and “fish,” rest assured: everything is plant-based, with no actual meat involved. The selection was solid, offering a good variety of dishes without overwhelming the menu. The food was flavorful and satisfying, and the staff were warm and welcoming throughout. This was my first visit, but definitely not my last—I’ll be coming back for more.“

“1/12/2025-This is a awesome vibe here. The ambiance is a nice bistro with some crazy art to keep you entertained but the music and lighting sets the mood. I would come back here again and again. I visited here without a reservation and was greeted when I first came in. The staff was nice friendly and attentive. Emma was awesome and recommended some dishes. The burger, half chicken, rice, and sesame butter cookie were awesome and the drinks. I had the voodoo drink. I highly recommended and you won't be disappointed.“

There aren’t too many Vegan restaurants in Houston. This one is with a Mediterranean/ Indian twist.

We sat at the sushi bar and watched the chefs create everything right in front of us, which made the night feel really special. My sister and I are both pretty serious about sushi, and MF lived up to every expectation. The quality, presentation, and flavor were right on par with Michelin-star spots like Sushi By Scratch. The staff went above and beyond, even surprising us with a complimentary champagne toast to celebrate. “I love this place! The food is incredible and the staff is so attentive and friendly. I always get the fajita combo with chicken and beef. Their salsa + meat are honestly phenomenal. I love that they added the new sautéed spinach as a side- super delish. Matt, the GM, is so kind, attentive, and just has the best customer service! The staff looks like they’re having a great time, which makes the environment a lot more inviting. Definitely recommend!“

“After seeing on television that the restaurant won a James Beard award, I put it on my list of places to go. The expectations were pretty high, and our party was not disappointed. The medium spice level was perfect...flavorful with a kick. Drunken Noodles, Krapow Beef, and the Meatball Appetizer were our favorites. This restaurant was an hour drive for us and did not disappoint. It was worth the trip, and we will be back. The only two criticisms would be that their front door is darkened, and from outside, does not look like an actual entrance. And the noise level was a little high, so our server had to repeat herself a few times, but she didn't seem to mind and checked on us regularly to make sure we were enjoying ourselves“

Jellyfish is located on busy Ella Blvd in a very modest inconspicuous shopping strip - if you’re not looking, you’re going to miss it. Don’t miss out though!! This place has delicious food and you’ll experience excellent service. Everything was super fresh and prepared to perfection. I enjoyed the hibachi steak/chicken, grilled veggies & steamed rice. The meats were tender as were the veggies perfectly grilled & seasoned as well. We shared a roll of Sushi that was masterfully prepared by cooks that know how to do it. The restaurant is simple inside but kept very clean. We had no problem with parking. Restrooms very clean. We will return and recommend Jellyfish to others for fresh authentic Japanese cuisine.“
