“I visited this Buddhist-run restaurant over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised. Knowing it was operated by Buddhists gave me confidence that it would be vegetarian-friendly—and it absolutely was. Although the menu includes familiar terms like “chicken” and “fish,” rest assured: everything is plant-based, with no actual meat involved. The selection was solid, offering a good variety of dishes without overwhelming the menu. The food was flavorful and satisfying, and the staff were warm and welcoming throughout. This was my first visit, but definitely not my last—I’ll be coming back for more.“

“My parents and I visited Aga’s restaurant and were amazed at not only the quality of food but also the service. This is easily one of, if not the best meal we’ve ever eaten. Our waiter Khatija was awesome, the staff also worked as a team in bringing and cleaning up our food. The food was fresh and awesome. Great atmosphere with really nice people. “1/12/2025-This is a awesome vibe here. The ambiance is a nice bistro with some crazy art to keep you entertained but the music and lighting sets the mood. I would come back here again and again. I visited here without a reservation and was greeted when I first came in. The staff was nice friendly and attentive. Emma was awesome and recommended some dishes. The burger, half chicken, rice, and sesame butter cookie were awesome and the drinks. I had the voodoo drink. I highly recommended and you won't be disappointed.“

We came here for a Saturday night dinner, party of two.

There aren’t too many Vegan restaurants in Houston. This one is with a Mediterranean/ Indian twist.

“I love this place! The food is incredible and the staff is so attentive and friendly. I always get the fajita combo with chicken and beef. Their salsa + meat are honestly phenomenal. I love that they added the new sautéed spinach as a side- super delish. Matt, the GM, is so kind, attentive, and just has the best customer service! The staff looks like they’re having a great time, which makes the environment a lot more inviting. Definitely recommend!“

“After seeing on television that the restaurant won a James Beard award, I put it on my list of places to go. The expectations were pretty high, and our party was not disappointed. The medium spice level was perfect...flavorful with a kick. Drunken Noodles, Krapow Beef, and the Meatball Appetizer were our favorites. This restaurant was an hour drive for us and did not disappoint. It was worth the trip, and we will be back. The only two criticisms would be that their front door is darkened, and from outside, does not look like an actual entrance. And the noise level was a little high, so our server had to repeat herself a few times, but she didn't seem to mind and checked on us regularly to make sure we were enjoying ourselves“

Jellyfish is located on busy Ella Blvd in a very modest inconspicuous shopping strip - if you’re not looking, you’re going to miss it. Don’t miss out though!! This place has delicious food and you’ll experience excellent service. Everything was super fresh and prepared to perfection. I enjoyed the hibachi steak/chicken, grilled veggies & steamed rice. The meats were tender as were the veggies perfectly grilled & seasoned as well. We shared a roll of Sushi that was masterfully prepared by cooks that know how to do it. The restaurant is simple inside but kept very clean. We had no problem with parking. Restrooms very clean. We will return and recommend Jellyfish to others for fresh authentic Japanese cuisine.“

“I came for their soft opening years ago and even though we’ve been back many times to Uchi it wasn’t until recently that we went back for my Wife’s birthday. Ever since moving to the suburbs we don’t get to have as many in town date nights anymore so when we do we want them to be special.

Uchiko delivered! Their sushi is always fresh and delicious and they have some new inventions that are really mind blowing.

On this trip we stuck to some classics uni, engawa (my absolute favorite! Yellowtail, and hot rock. We added some new additions the quail and tiger cry.

The tiger cry was a unique addition with it being crunchy and light.

For dessert we got the classic fried milk and added in the mochi churros. Wow! The mochi churros might have overtaken the fried milk!

The service was always spot on as each dish comes out with a great explanation.

When I tell you, ice cream usually hurts my stomach, this ice cream did not such thing but make my tummy feel so good! This ice cream is sooooo 100% delicious! “We were visiting the area and decided to try Spicy Girl. We tried the Crispy Bottom Bao buns, the Beijing Pork w Buns, and the Spicy Boiled Fish. The spicy fish was tasty but definitely lived up to its name…it was extremely spicy if you eat the peppers and peppercorns in the soup! The Beijing pork was tasty, especially the steamed buns, but the pork was a little too sweet. The crispy Boa was good. We also had the honey ginger tea, which was also good but a little too sweet.

But what took our visit over the top was our good-natured waitress Kim, who kept us laughing and having a good time during the entire meal. We’ll be back!“
