Service was superb. Best crab cakes I've eaten, and I've lived near the Chesapeake Bay--where we pride ourselves on our crab cakes-- much of my life. The atmosphere was very pleasant; a nice place to meet with family and friends and catch up. It wasn't loud at all. You don't feel like you have to shout to be heard. Finally, the value of what you get for what you pay is a nice surprise as well.
This place is a real puzzle to me. They clearly appear to try and duplicate the Houston's experience. The menu, the serving style, the same “rules” on and on. The difference is they are not busy, at least the times we have been, which have been quite a few. Hard to believe the name alone makes such a difference. Another similarity is the prices.(pricey) But good service, food good and unfortunately (for them) not busy.

We’ve been to Brentwood’s a few times in the past and enjoyed it. Though It’s always been pricey for what you get in my opinion. Decided to try it again last weekend. When we arrived, we were told they ‘lost’ our reservation, even after I showed the confirmation on my phone. They said we should try to find a seat at the bar and could have dinner there. We had a 95 year old with us and bar stools are a challenge for her but we made the most of it. Dinner was ok, not great....read full review
