“I chose this restaurant as a treat for an old friend during a recent trip to Dallas. I chose Bistro 31 as it appeared in several "best of" lists for lunch in Dallas and because of the array of options on the all-day menu. It is possible to eat lightly of beautifully prepared appetizers, salads and cold seafood options or to indulge in pastas and heartier main courses. I went for the former selecting an appetizer of a single fried artichoke with char-grilled prawns and a perfectly prepared beef carpaccio. My guest started with a seafood salad and continued with filet steak in green peppercorn sauce. The service was attentive and present without being overly familiar or invasive of our privacy. The single disappointment was the unavailability of the wine I selected and the less than perfect substitute offered. There was a similar need to substitute for our selection of digestive at the end of the meal, although the aged Barolo grappa offered in lieu of our first choice was a very good pour.“

What an incredible team and experience provided for our daughter’s wedding from Day 1-- nearly a year before the wedding. The constant communication from the team was above and beyond; and flexibility as decisions changed leading up to the reception were met with joy, understanding, and a genuine re-assurance that none of the changes are an issue!! What a relief! The venue is fantastic and food prepared by Michael nothing short of amazing! Guest after guest commented on the venue, the ambiance, the vibe, the food, the attention to detail, and cleanliness throughout the entire night! The catering experience was incredible. Michael is great and very easy to work with, no matter what crazy idea and/or change you throw at him. Without a doubt, this team goes the extra mile. Disaster was avoided as “Dad” forgot to get a bottle of champagne for the “couples toast” to kick off the reception. Not to worry, one of the staff literally sprinted to the local store and was back with champagne before the toast was to begin, all without anyone realizing what had happened (minus the valet team who videoed the sprint—just exceptional). One of the couples for a past wedding had several dietary restrictions and was worried that they would not be able to enjoy the FGF tasting with their partner. Not only did Monica have specific items for the tasting that met her restrictions, but she also asked chef make her a special salad so she could enjoy a personalized experience at the appointment.Other thing that makes this company great is the staff that show up to the events ready to get to work and make magic happen. A great example of this was the couple's personal attendant Liz. She was always near by when the couple or our team needed anything. The second I looked up to search for her to help with something, she was right there by my side like a ninja. Half the time before I could even ask for something, I would spot her heading my way with whatever we needed. Not only was Liz a rock star, but the other servers were in sync with our team all night. They also came in clutch to save the arse of the bartenders who didn't show up with all of their supplies.
