Nomade Reviews
Absolutely loved Nomade. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the service was excellent, and the food was easily one of the best dining experiences we've had in Austin. This time we went mostly for small plates and shared the octopus, panuchos, cauliflower, esquites, barbacoa tacos, and hearts of palm ceviche. Everything was full of flavor and so well done. What really stood out to me was how the food felt authentic but also completely unique. Some of the flavors honestly transported...read full review
Our first time there, we were blown away by the atmosphere. You are transported to the islands! We were shocked that it was outdoor seating in Aug in Texas and still so pleasant! We spent over 2 hours at the table, never once feeling rushed, food was so healthy and fresh and delicious!
Thank you for the fantastic experience, for the great food and dips (especially the octopus and fish were amazing), and for your patience with our big party. Looking forward to visiting again.

Nomade offers a great vibe with its Sunday Social drinks and apps. The covered outdoor seating, equipped with fans and misters, provides a perfect spot on a hot day, and it was comfortable and well-heated on a chilly night. The lovely atmosphere, interesting cuisine, and knowledgeable servers enhance the experience. The restaurant also features a whole plant-based menu, and the food has been excellent each time. The ensalade with beets was quite tasty as a starter. For crudos, the hamache ceviche was a standout, surrounded by a mezcal lime espuma/foam, and the scallop crudo and sikil pak were amazing. The pork belly was also amazing. The jaiba frita, the grilled octopus, and the tempura de pescado were also ordered, with the latter two being the least interesting but still presented beautifully. The drinks are really well worth the money, and they have an excellent and lengthy selection of mezcals, the best tequila selection in town. The front of the house is strict about stopping seating at 9 pm, however, reservations are recommended. Overall, Nomade delivers an excellent dining experience with a Tulum vibe, perfect music, and gorgeous outside seating. It feels like a cool authentic place you might find on Oaxaca or Tulum, and it's all gluten-free with a vegetarian menu. Service is impeccable, with staff like Rob who truly know their tequila and make recommendations. Outdoor seating is mostly shaded with fans, creating a cool, beachy atmosphere. The food includes dishes like chorizo tacos, wagyu birria, flan, and churros, with the flan being a light and not-too-sweet favorite.
