The food truly was a highlight for me. I had a double cheeseburger with fries. It was excellent, instantly reminding me why this place is a fixture. What sealed the deal, however, was the iced tea—as a self-proclaimed snob, I can attest that they absolutely perfected it. This isn't just a blast from the past; it's a quality operation. For sure I won't be waiting another 30 years to go back!“

What a great hidden little gem that focuses on their crafts which are cocktails, service, and probably witchcraft?Chill, comfortable spot with obviously the most amazing regulars in town and fewer real tigers than you'd expect. “I took myself here on a solo date on Valentine's Day 2025. They had amazing seasonal drinks with picks that had a red heart on the end. The pulled pork sliders are to die for, and I'd drive all the way back just to get those again. Sitting at the bar as a solo patron was perfect, as I got to see my food and drink be prepared right in front of me. Talking to the servers who worked the bar was a fun touch of good ol' Texan hospitality that made me feel noticed and valued as a customer on a holiday meant for togetherness. The next time I'm in the Austin area, I WILL pay another visit to this amazing place!“

“Went here for drinks and the bartenders were some of the best I have experienced in Austin. Talked to me the entire time I was waiting for my friend and super friendly. Beer was filled to the brim and refills were ready before I even had to ask. Atmosphere was neat. Felt like a classic cocktail lounge and had a great experience.“

“Gourdoughs is not only a MUST VISIT for out of towners, but totally can be a weekly regular spot, because of not only how delicious they are, but the vast varieties they have to cure that savory, sweet or "coffee" tooth! They seriously have some of the most decadent delicious treats out there!! I know for some of you indulging in donuts like this isn't always a regular thing, but they now offer MINI versions of the massive donuts you're already a fan of, which allows you to feel more "responsible" eating them AND allows you to try all the different varieties they have and of course justifies more regular visits hehe! PLUS they offer coffee and a couple savory items like their breakfast sandwich and Ron burgundy burger (super juicy, delicious with a quality angus patty), along with their mother clucker (fried chicken and donut) which is some of the BEST fried chicken out there!! The have conditioned their food truck spot to be super inviting with tables, umbrellas and "instaworthy" signage! It had been YEARS since we visited Gourdough's and are kicking ourselves in the butt that it had been so long! Don't let that be you! If you have never been or its been a minute, we HIGHLY encourage you to check them out again and try some of their new offerings or enjoy something you haven't had in a minute! “The bartenders are always on point with service, they are funny & very welcoming. They have a good variety of drinks and I just found out they have chilled coffee! I love to go there and play their Firelink games, so much fun! I had an issue with the money machine one time and the owner was just so super sweet and checked it out for me. The place is always clean and smells great! The atmosphere is unbelievably fun with a great variety of music being played on their digital jukebox. There is no food served there anymore, so I cannot leave review on that. Everything else is fantastic!“
