Uptown Reviews
I actually deleted a previous review so I could write this one.
I stayed at Kasa Haus on 6th Street a couple of weeks ago while traveling for work, and I want to give a huge shout out to Calvin.
To be completely honest, I was exhausted. I had been traveling, working, and Austin was my final stop. I ran into a hiccup during my stay and was frustrated more by the principle of the situation than the situation itself. Looking back, I know I was carrying a lot of that...read full review
We were really pleased with the choice we made. This is a very nice hotel. There is parking underneath. Not alot of spaces so if you come on Fri or Sat, it will prob be full. If you get a spot, stay there and walk because if you move, you lose!😆 The room was nice and clean except for a very slight odor (hubby said he didn't smell it, but I bought a cpl of candles cuz my nose is sensitive 🙂). Check-in went smoothly. Mia was very professional, welcoming and happy...read full review
It gives more of an Airbnb vibe than hotel! We loved it! Booking my next stay already.

Uptown Sports Club is a really beautiful space with one of the coolest aesthetics in East Austin. The atmosphere is amazing, and the design strikes a great balance between stylish and comfortable. The service is exceptional—friendly, attentive, genuinely welcoming, and gracious. The staff is great, kind, and accommodating. The food is incredible and always on point. The chicken sando is absolutely delicious, the chips and onion dip are fantastic, and the gumbo is surprisingly good. The yellow fin tuna was devoured, and the oysters are fresh with tasty toppings. The shrimp poboy is yummy, and the chicken biscuit with white cheddar cheese bacon and hot honey is a standout. The cinnamon rolls are super fluffy, not too heavily iced, and irresistible. The drinks are strong and delicious, with a solid beer selection. The back patio is an absolute gem with a lush, tropical vacation spot vibe. However, the restaurant can be so loud that it is hard to hear. The sports-viewing experience is a missed opportunity, as the large screen on the back patio is not used. Uptown is the kind of place that turns an afternoon into a core memory.
