“My neighborhood McD's was unexplainably closed and I had recently read about the $5 Value Meal. After an abrupt U-turn, I made my way to Balch Springs. It was 3:08 so I figured, hey, I'll have breakfast instead. I was told they started serving breakfast after 4am on the day before my visit so, I opted to go with the $5 meal and the McDouble. Their fries (small) can't be beat. I hoped for more than meat, cheese, and bread (I need the veggies) so I was disappointed. Four chicken nuggets filled the meal out and I was upcharged $.20 for a small Sprite. I'm confused about that move. All in all, $5, 960 calories, and my hunger was vanquished. I will not, however, make that a habit. Oh, and I hit three curbs because the lot was dimly lit. That didn't help me feel any better about my visit.“
