“i brought my grandkids to La chapulita to get some ice cream, they have 47 plus varieties of flavors to chose from, the grandkids chose the chocolate flavor ice cream in a waffle cone and also in cups for the younger grandkids.I chose to try the Lime sherbet ice cream in a waffle cone, after the first taste i was so amazed at the great flavor, it is the best homemade ice cream I have ever tasted! The store also has ice cream pops and fresh fruit plates , milk shakes, Elotes (corn in a cup Mexican recipe ) aguas de frutas frescas(fresh fruit drinks) & there is quite a variety of item's available to eat on their menu. I would recommend La Chapulita to everyone that is looking for something refreshing to eat or just interested in trying the Best Home made Ice cream in Texas!“

“I normally don’t like to leave bad reviews, but this has happened multiple times now—about three or four visits. Each time, I ask for one thing, and they give me something else instead. Then, when I correct the order, they end up charging me more, even though the mistake was on their end.
For example, today I asked for a large corn in a cup, and instead they gave me a whole corn on the cob. I politely corrected it, and while they did give me the large cup, they charged me more—even though the original mistake wasn’t mine.
I really don’t appreciate being charged extra for fixing something I didn’t mess up. I hope this can be improved, because I do enjoy the food.

Update: One of the owners came out to personally apologize for the inconvenience. He explained that they strive to provide good service and made things right, which I really appreciated. This place is one of my favorite spots when everything goes smoothly, and it’s clear the owner cares about customer service. I definitely recommend stopping by and trying their snacks—the food is great, and it’s good to see them working to bring the service up to par with the quality of the food.“
