“I love to eat here when I'm in town! The owners and the staff are so personable. I love the cheese enchiladas. Quesadillas and salsa is good, too. Historical building.
Kid-friendliness: They are welcoming to children!“

“We have been eating here occasionally for the past 8 years. For our most recent visit we arrived at lunchtime on a Saturday and both our waitress and the cashier made this restaurant one we want to visit again. They were knowledgeable and nice. We tried the white sauce because one of our party has a tomato allergy. It was a sour cream based sauce and not spicy, that I thought it was priced appropriately. The salsa was not very spicy but went well with the warm chips. I recommend the jalapeno steak with its fresh cooked onions, tomatoes a s jalapenos. Our only issues were that the steak was over cooked and the fajita meat was cut with the grain which made it difficult to chew. The flavor in both was good. I hope the chef just had an off moment. The atmosphere here is welcoming and good for groups or families“

“I stopped by for lunch on my way through. The restaurant has a very nice small town diner feel with lots of local people eating. Prices are very affordable. I had the enchilada special and they were excellent. I usually prefer salsa verde on my enchiladas but these came with a red sauce that was very good. If you live here you probably already know about this place but if you are passing through like I was and looking for a good place to eat cheaply, this is it.“

“Great place to eat good homemade food. Especially the homemade tortillas. Very hard nowadays to find any place that does their own homemade tortillas.“

“We had our first bad experience at Rangel’s today and, will not be back. It seems like the employees there are only after a paycheck and do not seem to care about the actual job they have. Our total bill for me and my 2 kids was $53 ($5 tip included). The food was nothing more than a frozen Banquet dinner it seemed like. My green enchiladas had a artificial looking green sauce on top and it was poured on top of enchiladas that had been frozen and not thawed all the way. My daughter’s chicken strips were not breaded fully and her French fries were over cooked. She couldn’t even eat the gravy. While the waitress was taking our order, she told us to wait in the process to run and deliver someone else’s meals to their table. We sat patiently and waited for her to come back and finish taking our order. There were only 3 other customers in the restaurant when we arrived. Every table was dirty. The one we finally found to sit at was so sticky that our napkins stuck to the table. I’m not sure who owns this restaurant but, they need to know how it is being operated.“
